Getting an invite to compete with athletes from 12 other countries at the North American Regional Powerlifting Championships was something I never imagined would be possible for me. As a multi-sport athlete, powerlifting was a sport I constantly doubted myself in, so showing up to an international platform as part of Team USA felt so surreal on its own. However after missing over two weeks of prep right before the meet, I went in with low expectations and just wanted to perform the best I could.

I ended up going 9/9 for my very first time in my powerlifting career -with not a single red light, matched my PRs on squat and bench, and hit a new deadlift PR -which was far beyond what I thought was possible for me, especially competing internationally for the first time. 😁

I’d like to thank my amazing coach @heidi_hyatt_6 for being there with me for every step of the way in my powerlifting journey. For the past three years, she has genuinely pushed me to be the best athlete I can be, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her as a coach and mentor. Huge shoutout to the USA coaches, loaders, and handlers who helped make this such an incredible experience. I’d also like to thank all of my family and friends who supported me at the meet, and those who watched and cheered for me back home - I could not have done it without all of you! 🥹💗💗
