This is what a first sit-ski lesson at Cardrona looks like: instructor by your side, small wins building into the next. Everyone’s mountain looks a little different, and that’s exactly the point 🗻

Lessons are tailored to each guest, with adaptive equipment and on-snow support from our trained volunteers, all working towards a safe, encouraging environment where you can build independence and the confidence to move freely on snow.

Ten years ago I could stand but not ski. It’s understated that sit skiing has completely opened up my world.

Over the past few years I’ve been lucky enough to compete and travel across Europe and North America. I’m still chasing that Paralympic dream, but this season it just wasn’t meant to be.

This sport has taken me further than I ever imagined. It’s challenged me, grown my confidence, and connected me with some pretty special people along the way. I’m grateful for all of it.

Not my year for the Games, but excited to cheer everyone on! Especially @corey_peters and @kiwiskiracer and the whole crew from home. 🇳🇿
