The R1300 Rally frame build is finally finished!

This project has been both amazing and challenging. We've created a bespoke front, middle, and rear frame to fit a USD fork with 270mm travel and two additional rear fuel tanks. The geometry's been meticulously reworked for optimal rally performance.

I really enjoyed making this video.

You’ve seen a lot of pictures and updates of the R1300RR over the last months, but I think it’s a bit different when you actually see and hear the bike riding.

This bike has taken a ridiculous amount of time to build. It started life as a nearly new R1300GS, but there isn’t much left from the original bike anymore. New frame, suspension, wheels, exhaust, bodywork and a lot of parts that I had to figure out myself.

The idea was always to build something that I could actually ride hard, not just something that looks good standing still.

And after taking it to the Hellas Rally this year and putting around 1,800 km on it during the rally, I’m honestly pretty happy with how far it has come.

The bike is definitely not finished yet.

But seeing it like this, moving, jumping, sliding around and hearing that boxer… that’s the part I really enjoy.

I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Let me know what you think about the R1300RR. I’m really curious to hear your opinion.

And yes… I’m still not completely sure where this project is going to end up 😂

BMW “R1300RR” from @majestix.bike, built to answer the question: “What would BMW build today if they decided to create a factory Boxer rally machine?”

The R1300RR pairs the new 145-bhp boxer engine with a one-off frame from @bakkerframes, long-travel suspension tuned by @ttech_suspension, @akrapovic Ti suspension, @motomasterbrakes, @oversuspension tire rebound control, and much more.

With the bike built in less than 10 months and just two days of testing, Kristian and the R1300RR took home second place in the M6 class in the 2026 @hellasrally — bravo!

How we built the rear sets for the R1300 Rally.
Bolt-on aluminium instead of frame-mounted — so after a crash you replace parts, not your frame.
