Some dreams are too big to explain to everyone.

The R1300RR started as an idea that probably sounded crazy to a lot of people.

A motorcycle that BMW never built.
A bike built to race.
A dream of one day taking it to the Africa Eco Race.

But before you can reach the big dream, you have to take the first step.

For me, that step was the Hellas Rally.

My first real rally. My first time testing the R1300RR in conditions like these. And finishing P2 in my class and P90 overall showed me that this crazy idea might actually have something behind it.

There is still a long way to go.

More testing. More development. More challenges. More races.

But the dream is alive.

Africa Eco Race — one day. 🏁

And until then… I’ll keep building, learning and chasing it.

BMW “R1300RR” from @majestix.bike, built to answer the question: “What would BMW build today if they decided to create a factory Boxer rally machine?”

The R1300RR pairs the new 145-bhp boxer engine with a one-off frame from @bakkerframes, long-travel suspension tuned by @ttech_suspension, @akrapovic Ti suspension, @motomasterbrakes, @oversuspension tire rebound control, and much more.

With the bike built in less than 10 months and just two days of testing, Kristian and the R1300RR took home second place in the M6 class in the 2026 @hellasrally — bravo!

3 years old… I already knew what I loved. ❤️🏍️
I didn't know where life would take me.
I didn't know I'd one day build my own rally bike. I didn't know I'd race it. And I definitely didn't know I'd stand on the podium.
Dreams don't come true because you wait. They come true because you keep showing up—even when it's hard.
From a little boy dreaming about motorcycles… to racing a self-built R1300RR at the Hellas Rally and finishing 2nd in my class.
Never stop believing in the kid you once were.

People say a big bike isn't the perfect rally bike...

Driving home after one of the toughest weeks I've ever had on a motorcycle.
The Hellas Rally was brutal, but I came here with one goal: finish every stage on this bike and prove that what we built is not a show queen—it’s a real rally bike that can take the punishment and keep going.
Mission accomplished.
Finishing 2nd in my class was a surprise. There were only three riders in the big bike class, all on BMWs. One rider was out early after clutch issues, while the other was the legendary Maxi Schek on his rally-built R12—an incredibly fast rider.
What makes me even prouder is finishing P90 overall out of 160 riders. Many were on much lighter bikes like the Ténéré 700, Kove 800 Rallys, and purpose-built rally machines. To bring the R1300RR home through every stage and finish in the top 100 means a lot.
More importantly, I proved to myself that I can ride in this environment, have fun, and finish what I started.
Lessons learned: • The seat needs to be softer for these long days. • The front brake setup needs an upgrade. The current 450 EXC caliper works well in slow technical terrain, but repeated braking from higher speeds pushes it beyond its limits. • I need to work much harder on my fitness if I want to be more competitive over long rally distances.
