Beyond thrilled that my feature directorial debut @jackrabbitmovie will be having its world premiere at this year’s Nashville Film Festival #NashFilm57

I can even begin to tell you how excited I am for you to see how incredible this cast is and what a visual miracle this crew came up with. For a scrappy indie, shot on location in NYC, this movie looks HUGE. Get ready for a really exciting mystery/comedy/thriller coming your way.

Eternally grateful for everyone who was a part of this film to make it come true. So excited for you to see this funny, twisty ride of a film.

“When their shared best friend suddenly vanishes, an investigative journalist and a struggling actress (who both hate each other) are reluctantly forced to team up to figure out what happened to her. And in the process, discover that the disappearance is just the first of her secrets.”

Things went pretty good at the Emmys.

What a lovely, touching final cap this is to an unfathomably great 11-year run of @colbertlateshow

It’s still sad that the show ended, but to have one last time together with this incredible crew, to hang out, hug, and share all of our gratitude for the years together and all the dumb comedy we got to make, was pretty wonderfully special.

In addition to my lovely wife @kelseyfoxbennettboyd , I also got to bring my mom @shelbysboyd - who turned 75 the day before - plus one of our oldest family friends along with us this year to celebrate, and I gotta tell you: Emmys and the Governor’s Gala is a pretty great date night and birthday celebration!

And to win another Emmy on top of that, with my closest collaborators and family in attendence? Bruh, lemme tell you: Not bad.

And of course, eternal gratitude to our inspiration and comedy north star @colbert

Stephen, you’re as wonderful and true a guy as I’ve ever gotten the privilege to meet, let alone work for and work with for more than a decade. You set and hold a standard for how to be both a professional and a GOOD PERSON, while always keeping that shining light of joy alive in the world. THANK YOU.

Here’s to the Joy Machine! Here’s to being afraid and doing it anyway! Here’s to more silliness in the world! And to many more years of incredible work and love from this LITERAL TOP IN CLASS television and comedy making team. I’m so excited to see what you all do next! And hope we can figure out how to do a small piece of it together again too.

You can’t be scared and laughing at the same time and THAT is real magic.

Late Show Forever. Catch you on the flip. by @ballardcboyd

So grateful for JACKRABBIT to be the OPENING NIGHT film of @sohofilmfest with a SOLD OUT screening.

Having shot the movie 100% on-location in NYC, it was so special to get to celebrate this film with our NYC cast & crew, many of whom were seeing it for the very first time.

It was an amazing screening and great Q&A with such an awesome crowd on the biggest screen at Regal Union Square.

Thank you so much @sibylsantiago & @sohofilmfest for the incredibly opportunity to share this movie with such a great crowd and for throwing an amazing festival and party for our little indie.

We’re so excited for more folks to see the film soon!

Thrilled to have had the world premiere of my first feature @jackrabbitmovie at @nashfilmfest to a SOLD OUT room.

I’m originally from Franklin, TN, outside of Nashville, so this is not just my hometown festival, but it’s the very first festival I ever attended, the first festival I ever had a short film at, and a theater that I had been going to since it was BUILT over 30 years ago.

So to go from a kid who watched movies on those screens to seeing my first feature premiere on the same gigantic screen, surrounded by friends & family - well that’s pretty damn, special, y’all.

Years of work culminating here, and what a lovely room and a lovely crowd. It was incredible seeing this movie on the big screen for the first time, and hearing the audience’s reactions to these incredible performances. It looked and sounded GORGEOUS and I can’t wait to continue sharing it.

Beyond being there with our awesome team, it was so special to have so many folks connected to me see the film, Including found family that’s raised me - many of whom were also our investors; my childhood forever riends @jrfraser & @dbmcginley ; my high school latin and history teachers who came out; and even one of my best friends @daveburdick who flew in from Denver just to be there.

It really just was lovely, and I can’t thank everyone who worked on this film, who’ve supported this film, and who’ve supported independent artists to chase after a piece of work for years. Filmmaking is a team sport and it’s thanks to all of you that we got to make - and then share - this really special, funny, exciting, and touching feature film.

Can’t wait for you to see it! Much love! by @ballardcboyd

Thank you @nytimes & @amspen for featuring me and several @colbertlateshow colleagues in an article about winning an Emmy! Second incredible honor of the night!

Let it be known that the extent of my & @kelseyfoxbennettboyd ‘s non-partying is now officially documented in the paper of record.
