Slowly starting to mess with double exposures more (snuck in a regular landscape). Went for a family bike ride in Long Beach and stopped for a moment to snap some pics.

I’m beyond thrilled and honored to announce that my photo “Sands Beach Sunset Stroll” (Photo 1) is the winner of the Gaviota Coast Conservancy’s photography contest, Gaviota’s Summer Soul 2026! Additionally, my other submission, “Sands Beach Surfers” (Photo 2), was named an honorable mention!

The goal was to capture an image that represents the soul of the Gaviota Coast in the summertime. The Gaviota Coast spans approximately 76 miles of the Pacific shoreline in Western Santa Barbara County. I’m fortunate enough to call part of the Gaviota Coast my home. Photos 3-7 are other photos I took for this contest, but chose not to submit.

This was my first time ever submitting to a photography contest, so I’m extremely grateful to be acknowledged for my work. Thank you again to @gaviotacoastconservancy !!! 🌞🧡

JUNGLE

I was fortunate enough to spend some time in the Ecuadorian Amazon this summer. I thought I’d be glued to my camera this whole trip, but found myself choosing to live in the moment and observe, rather than disrupt the jungle’s harmony with my shutter. I didn’t take nearly as many photos as I thought I would, but the amount of memories I made easily makes up for that. It’s so grounding to feel so small while in the lungs of the Earth. Until the next time🐒

More of my photos from Ecuador will be available on my new website coming soon…
