Tournament winning rods 🏆 🏅 🥇

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Definition of a grinder.

At the end of Day #1 at the Running of the Bulls Charity Surf Redfish Tournament, Clayton had zero redfish on the board. Then on Day #2, he stuck 3 fish in less than 90 minutes.

This crazy feat secured him 2nd place in the Youth Dividion, $800 in cash and a custom surf combo courtesy of Batson Enterprises, Bandit Custom Rods and Florida Fishing Products.

The 2nd place awards were preserved by Workday.

On top of that, Clayton became the first ever 2x youth Calcutta winner taking home a 13’ Fishbites Signature rod.

Now that’s a weekend!

Competing with Abi is easy and watching her land two Bull Redfish tournament weekend didn’t surprise us.

Abi is the hardest worker, fully committed, extremely knowledgeable and has parents that are all-in on supporting her fishing adventures. From baiting to casting, she does it all.

Let’s celebrate Abi and her 3rd place 36.50” catch which was presented by Foamworks Auto Spa of Brunswick.

On top of her cash prize, we are also very excited that Abi won a Team Rainshadow Revelation surf rod paired with a Resolute 5000 reel. The rod was donated by sponsors Batson Enterprises / Bandit Custom Rods and the reel by Florida Fishing Products.

Congratulations Abi! You earned it and we have you as an early favorite to win the adult division at the 2028 Running of the Bulls Charity Surf Redfish Tournament.

Some people are simply born to catch redfish and that’s Wyatt who became the first ever 3x Champion (2023, 2025 and 2026) of the Kids Can Fish Running of the Bulls Charity Surf Redfish Tournament landing this beastly 39.50” bull.

In addition to his $1400 cash prize by presenting sponsor Fishbites, Wyatt won a custom Team Rainshadow 11’ surf rod courtesy of Batson Enterprises and Bandit Custom Rods plus a Resolute 6000 reel donated by Florida Fishing Products.

This is the essence of what the Kids Can Fish mission is and it’s our honor to play a small part in creating these fishing memories for Wyatt. Congratulations Champ you are the real deal!

These custom rods are headed to the 2026 Kids Can Fish Running of the Bulls Charity Redfish Tournament @kcf_running_of_the_bulls as youth prizes!

Each rod features its own unique combination of custom grips, wraps, and finishes. No two are alike, and each was built with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship that goes into every Bandit Custom Rods build.

A huge THANK YOU to Batson Enterprises @teamrainshadow for partnering with us once again to make these rods possible! Your continued support and commitment to getting the next generation of anglers on the water means a lot.

It’s truly an honor to have had the opportunity to build these rods and contribute to such a great cause.

We’re proud to support Kids Can Fish @kidscanfish and the work they do to introduce young anglers to the sport we all love.

Good luck to all the young anglers competing! We hope these rods help create some unforgettable memories on the water! 🎣 taken in Saint Simons Island, Georgia by @banditcustomrods

Two customs headed up north. 🎣

Built on Rainshadow two-piece blanks for easy travel without giving up the feel and performance you want on the water. Two completely different looks, both built from the ground up by Bandit Custom Rods.

Built in Brunswick, GA. Headed north to get put to work.

The story on how Batson Enterprises and the Kids Can Fish relationship started. It all began over a conversation and a fishing rod.

This set almost made me throw in the towel.

I started this build thinking I had the right blank, only to find out I didn’t. To make matters worse, the manufacturer discontinued the blank I’d built all of my tarpon rods on, so it was back to square one.

If you know tarpon fishing around here, you know the blank isn’t just another component—it can be the difference between staying connected and watching the fish of a lifetime throw the hook.

After a lot of testing, I finally found a blank that checks all the boxes. Now this set of builds is coming together exactly the way I wanted.

Another Manitoba trip on the books. Always a good time! This trip I was using some purpose built Bandits, specifically, one for walleye jigging and one for chucking spoons. For walleye I chose a @teamrainshadow revelation REVS72M and for spoons, I chose a blank out of the Judge CB line. Both produced excellent results. #manitobagold #walleye #banditcustomrods by @banditcustomrods
