Going nowhere slowly…

…and that’s okay

Learning to trust the spaces in between..

Asha’s Auntie 🌹

Forced to be in my own little world, for now.

Still smiling, through it all ✨

A little room to breathe

And somehow, through it all, the more I grow, the more I recognise myself.

Becoming is a beautiful rebellion.

There are versions of me I haven’t met yet. They say where one reality ends, another begins.

A soft life 🤍 with hard lessons 🌸

August ‘26 ✨

This past month, for a little while, I mistook quiet for absence,
as though a life had to be witnessed to be moving.

Meanwhile, my table kept being filled with small mercies, reminding me that I still had unfinished work and soft places to land.

This season has asked for a slower kind of faith, and I’m learning how to stay with what is here long enough to notice the light on an ordinary day while still believing there is more on its way.

I know too much about commas and unfinished sentences to mistake this period for a full stop.

And lately, what lies ahead has begun to feel close enough to reach for again.

September, pull up a seat. by @banesa.creative

We welcome Banesa Tseki, Founder of B.Creative & Co-Founder of Nest Space and a long standing Fix House Friend, to the Areyegaelenna x Letsatsi le Hlabile Experience.

The House has been a champion for the grounding sessions of our experiences and that is because we recognise how spiritually charged this work is.

Our friend understands this too. Her multidisciplinary practice sits at the intersection of wellness, storytelling, culture, and community. It seemed almost obvious to invite her back to help our guests find grounding with exploring the homestead of our host family.

This experience is set to be one that stirs konversations around healing and great joy, about heritage versus inheritance. We cannot wait to be a part of it.

She missed the EC experience physically, but this time, time said YES!

Don’t miss out! Secure your spot by following the link in our bio.

There is something deeply satisfying about seeing research move beyond the academic space and into conversation with the people shaping culture in real time.

On 2 September, I’ve been invited to present my academic research as part of Frames of Freedom x FAME Week Africa.

Frames of Freedom was created to close the distance between academic research and industry practice, and that idea immediately spoke to me. Research can hold so much more life than the final paper it becomes. Once it moves into industry, it becomes part of a much bigger conversation about how we understand the world we are creating.

That is the space I’m excited to enter with this presentation.

I’ll be sharing the session with filmmaker and storyteller @sihle_hlophe , and I’m really looking forward to what might emerge when research meets industry in this way.

If this is a conversation that interests you, I would really love to have you there.

July was an off season. A lot happened behind closed doors. I held my people closer, moved some things forward and moved through some things slowly. I got to see a sunrise and learned again that slow is not the same as still.

The waiting rooms know me well now 😮‍💨

Still her. Still here 🥹🤍✨

Life, lately: learning to live in the in-between.

The coordinates have changed, but my compass hasn’t.

I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t quite know where I am. But I know who I am.

Currently I’m still finding my footing yet also still offering my hands.

Turns out, being grounded has very little to do with the ground staying still 😮‍💨

Not new to this, I’m true to this. And lately, grateful for the work that reminds me. 📍 Nike JDI Day 2026 ✨ taken in Johannesburg, South Africa by @banesa.creative
