most of @banffband has been playing together since middle school, and it shows. their debut EP carries songs that spent two-plus years getting road-tested live before anyone hit record. i talked with tom, james, and xander about growing up together at school of rock, working with the prolific @maxgowan24, and why they hand-assembled their own cassettes and cds (instead of just throwing the thing on streaming and calling it done)
