ปีนี้ การประชุมประจำปีของกลุ่มธนาคารโลกและกองทุนการเงินระหว่างประเทศ (IMF) กลับมาจัดขึ้นอีกครั้งที่กรุงเทพฯ ในรอบ 35 ปี สัปดาห์การขับเคลื่อนด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศกรุงเทพฯ 2569 (Bangkok Climate Action Week 2026 หรือ BKKCAW 2026) จึงถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งเวทีสำคัญ ที่ช่วยสะท้อนเสียงและประสบการณ์ของผู้คนทั่วเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ รวมถึงแนวทางแก้ปัญหาที่ชุมชนท้องถิ่นได้ริเริ่มและลงมือทำ สู่การหารือด้านเศรษฐกิจระดับโลก
.
ตลอดการจัดงาน ผู้คนจากทั่วเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองจากสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชน และแนวทางรับมือกับปัญหาที่แต่ละชุมชนได้เริ่มลงมือทำแล้ว บทเรียนเหล่านี้เป็นข้อมูลสำคัญในการกำหนดทิศทางการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน และการลงทุนในอนาคต

ตลอดสัปดาห์ มีกิจกรรมมากกว่า 330 กิจกรรมเกิดขึ้นทั่วกรุงเทพฯ นำมาสู่จดหมายเปิดผนึกฉบับนี้ ที่เชิญชวนธนาคารโลกและกองทุนการเงินระหว่างประเทศ (IMF) ร่วมมือกับภาคีเครือข่ายทั่วเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เพื่อสร้างเศรษฐกิจที่ทุกคนได้ประโยชน์ร่วมกัน พร้อมกับการเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของชุมชน และการฟื้นฟูธรรมชาติ
.
เอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้เอง มีแนวทางการพัฒนาที่น่าสนใจและสามารถนำไปต่อยอดได้มากมาย ตั้งแต่การทำนาควบคู่กับการเลี้ยงปลา ไปจนถึงการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจชีวภาพที่มีชุมชนเป็นผู้ขับเคลื่อน จดหมายฉบับนี้จึงรวบรวมข้อเสนอ 10 ประการ เพื่อผลักดันให้โครงการเหล่านี้ได้รับการขยายผลอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ทั้งการพัฒนาตัวชี้วัดความก้าวหน้าทางเศรษฐกิจที่ไม่จำกัดอยู่เพียงผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศ (GDP) การแก้ไขปัญหาภาระหนี้สิน ตลอดจนการส่งเสริมให้ชุมชนเข้าถึงแหล่งเงินทุนได้อย่างทั่วถึง

จดหมายเปิดผนึกฉบับนี้ เป็นคำเชิญชวนให้ทุกภาคส่วนร่วมมือกัน เพื่อเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้และแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาจากเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เข้ากับสถาบันการเงินระดับโลก พร้อมร่วมกันกำหนดทิศทางเศรษฐกิจ ที่ให้ประโยชน์สูงสุดทั้งกับผู้คน และธรรมชาติ

Bangkokians joined artist Wishulada and her team to create 30 animal-inspired designs through Naive Art at Bangkok Climate Action Week @bangkokclimateactionweek . These artworks will be developed into T-shirt designs for the second collection of Icons of Hope, a collaboration between UNDP, @yuedpao and @centralpattana

Last week, Transitions Research hosted four sessions at @bangkokclimateactionweek Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) 2026, exploring the intersections of climate action and urbanization, energy, governance, and AI and agriculture.

The sessions brought together practitioners, researchers, public sector representatives, bilateral institutions, educational institutions, and philanthropic organisations to exchange perspectives and explore pathways for climate action.

The four sessions focused on:
1. Urban Living Labs: Co-creating Heat Resilience and Equitable Cooling in Cities — organised in partnership with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI)
2. Beyond the Megawatt: Demand Flexibility for a Clean, Smart and Resilient Grid in Emerging Asia
3. Public Sector Capacity for Climate Action in Asia: What Does City Governance Need?— organised in partnership with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and C40 Cities
4. What Do Farmers Want? AI, Climate, and the Future of Agriculture

Hadir di Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) 2026, AESI bersama Tenggara Strategics menyoroti sistem surya terdistribusi dan Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sebagai solusi tercepat untuk merespons lonjakan kebutuhan listrik Asia Tenggara.

Ketua Umum AESI, Mada Ayu Habsari, menggarisbawahi perlunya penyelarasan regulasi antarnegara ASEAN guna menarik modal global. Bersama para pakar regional, forum ini menyimpulkan bahwa kunci transisi energi terletak pada pelibatan warga lokal, agregasi pendanaan proyek, serta standardisasi keamanan baterai.

Sebagai tambahan strategis, AESI juga mendorong adopsi Agrivoltaics dalam panel khusus bersama Earth Sherpa. Pemasangan PLTS yang terintegrasi di area tanam membuktikan bahwa pencapaian target energi bersih dan pelestarian ketahanan pangan dapat diwujudkan secara berdampingan di lahan yang sama.
