H€ADLINE:
Portland Banjoist shamelessly promotes September engagements while looking at a dobro and not engaging the camera or audience.

In all seriousness, fairness, and honesty, frankly, I’m playing some shows with @fogholler out and about before we wind down touring for the year. We’re going out with a trio of Grade A hawt bluegrass events. Get your booty down here, and see what kinds of harmonious mischief I’ve been up to!

Sep 6 @quilcene.lantern for Olympickin!
Sep 11 @showdownportland we will be playing with the fantastic @stillhousejunkies

Here’s an eclectic sampling of what I’ve been seeing and thinking about this summer -
1. Van interiors (would that I could design the perfect modular van interior)
2-3. Bellingham was full of cool cats, I like that place.
4. Doors, portals, entries and exits.
5. Stay away from “My Child™”!! by @banjomancer

Pleased to say I’ll be playing tonight at @showdownportland ! @fogholler will be hosting a night of bluegrass every other week on Tuesday night. We’re super excited to share the stage with lots of friends and create a Bluegrass living room here in Portland. We’ve got lots of fun planned for tonight - come on out for some good grass and some excellent bbq chicken!

Eight days into our European tour and wrapping up a wonderful five days in Switzerland. Although the clouds are covering the highest mountain peaks, the scenery has been fantastic. The Swiss have been exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I've eaten some exceptional cheese and chocolate and have to admit the quality of the cream is palpable. You can really taste the health of the animals and the pasture in every sip. 🐄🇨🇭🧀 by @banjomancer

Just some wheel horse stuff. It's been a bit since I've posted, but I'm hoping to get back to it more. Been feeling much more musical this year than last, thanks to new friends and all the cool people in the music community here. I started transcribing this a long time before my fingers were ready to do this. After a buddy called this tune in a jam the other week I was inspired to get it in my fingers fully. I actually ended up changing my thumbpick after a while at it. A shorter blade was better for the string switches and speed of attack. taken in Portland, Oregon by @banjomancer

5 Days left on our Kickstarter!

We're trying to hit our stretch goal of 8000$, but any size donation is a huge help!

I'm so stoked to share all of the new music with y'all. I'm really proud of all the work we've done to make these tunes and think you'll love the record.

Photo: Me trying to relax between takes. 😐

If you want to preorder our new album and help us make our record without debt follow the link in me bio. @fogholler
