Breaking the silence isn’t always easy, but it could make the difference for someone’s safety. Being an active bystander isn’t about saying the perfect thing, but choosing not to look the other way. It’s refusing to listen to that voice that says “it’s not my business” or dismissing an inappropriate comment as “just a joke”. We’re calling on all men to sign our open letter in our bio. Because it’s not all men, but it should be. All men stopping harassment. All men changing the culture. All men ending violence. If you agree, share this open letter with the men in your life — a brother, father, partner, son, friend, or colleague. Together, we can end sexual harassment in public spaces. Thank you to @media_trust and @banquetfilms for developing this powerful film with us. by @banquetfilms

🎬 MEET @leaotovic From blood-soaked slashers and Cronenberg-inspired body horror to punk-fuelled chaos and darkly comic storytelling, Lea Otovic has already built an extraordinary body of work that's as visually inventive as it is gloriously unpredictable. Her longstanding creative partnership with Lonnie Gunn has produced a series of brilliantly twisted music videos, including the slasher-inspired Lucky Girl, the haunting Dog in a Hot Car and the deliciously grotesque Taxidermy Swan. She's also brought her distinctive creative vision to videos for Lambrini Girls, including the riotous No Homo and Love, alongside collaborations with Ruby Duff, Milesbluue and House of Women. Blending meticulous production design, imaginative practical effects and a wicked sense of humour, Lea creates cinematic worlds that are entirely her own. It's little wonder that Promonews has described her work as "wonderfully unhinged", or that she was recently ranked No. 4 on Occupy Cinema's global list of 100 Music Video Directors on the Rise! Head over to our website to explore Lea's brilliant work and discover more about our newest director! ❤️ #LeaOtovic #TheBanquet #MeetTheDirector #MusicVideoDirector #CommercialDirector #WomenInFilm #FemaleDirector #CreativeDirection #MusicVideos #BrandedContent by @banquetfilms

🎬 Trailer: Behind The Scenes with EAFA 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 What drives a team of top athletes and dedicated volunteers to work hard to prepare for a World Cup dream they might not even reach? Working on VP is never straightforward and it's worse when you have no time or budget to test and try things with a minimum amount of time for prep. However, with teamwork you can still kill it and 'Bystander' was a real product of that love and dedication everyone brought and it was thanks to producer @adham_hunt and director @ianroderickgray whose really encouraging energy and good heart put together an excellent team. We shot over one day five different scenes. It was an important message about violence against women and it was crucial showing different scenarios. So virtual production was the only way to achieve this. I remember we received the designs of the backdrops on Friday after the guys from @silvertown.studios qorked so hard and very last minute, and we were shooting on Saturday so we had to work out everything on the day. I knew roughly what kind of lighting I would use in each scene and thanks to gaffer @haydencfjones and his team we were never behind. But the challenging part was to test, establish where the art would go, distance and height of camera, position of actors and angle of the projected images on the spot; in VP, decisions like focal length, iris aperture and speed of movement are very important to trick the eye and merge what you see in the studio with what is projected on the LED wall. We had no time to waste since it was our only shooting time and I think we nailed it giving the tight turnaround. Camera team was also super quick with @razor.sharps on the sharps and @jessicatimbs as videosssist and 2nd AC (and of course Taco helping in everything!! 🐶). The dolly+slider setup by key grip @mattymccabegrips and grip @gorgeous.bull gave me the freedom to do different types of movements and save time in setup time. Efficiency was key in the whole process and it couldn't have been better, everyone was super focused and always in good mood. What a pleasure to work on something like this ❤️ Kit: @focuscanning @sunbeltrentalsukifilmtv by @banquetfilms

We were incredibly proud to be part of this powerful evening at @curzonbloomsbury, producing two films for media_trust in support of the vital mission to End Violence Against Women. The films were beautifully directed by @ianroderickgray and @meena_machina, whose care, sensitivity and craft helped bring these important stories to life. Stories have the ability to connect, challenge and move people in ways nothing else can. Being trusted to help bring these stories to life and to see them shared on the big screen in a room full of people who care deeply about this cause meant a huge amount to us. The standard of work across the entire event was genuinely inspiring. The other films shown on the night were thoughtful, moving and beautifully made, a reminder of the power of storytelling when it’s driven by purpose and care. It was an honour to share the screen with so many talented filmmakers and important voices. This event was more than a screening. It was a reminder of why filmmaking matters. Why stories matter. And why the work organisations like Media Trust do is so important. Producing these films was something very close to our hearts, and we’re grateful to everyone who made the night possible and to the incredible people working every day to create real change. Thank you for letting us play a small part in something so meaningful. 🎬 Photograph shamelessly stolen from the amazing @kimrowelltv . . . . . #EndViolenceAgainstWomen #MediaTrust #FilmForChange #StorytellingForImpact #PurposeDrivenFilm #SocialImpactFilm #ChangeThroughFilm #FilmmakingForGood #CreativeForGood #FilmCommunity #IndependentFilm #FilmPremiere #ShortFilm #DocumentaryFilm #WomenSafety #HumanRights #RaiseAwareness #ImpactStorytelling #FilmIndustry #DirectorLife #ProductionLife #CreativeIndustry #LondonFilm #CinemaEvent #Filmmakers 🎬 by @banquetfilms
