POV: You’re a groom in 2026 and somehow none of your first dance suggestions make the cut…

Here’s a list of thoughtfully rejected jams:

1. “Playing in the Band” — @gratefuldead (the 47 minute version from University of Washington in 1974
2. “Ain’t Life Grand” — @widespreadpanic
3. “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” — @gordonlightfoot
4. “Heard It in a Love Song” — @marshalltuckerband

My lovely wife to be tells me a first dance is supposed to be “romantic” and not a 15-minute jam, a celebration of life, a maritime disaster, or a southern rock song that merely contains the word “love.” 🤷‍♂️

Good thing I wasn’t in charge. 💍🎶

Scarlet came on mid-round and I got a little too committed to following Bobby’s instructions…Happy 5/8 to those celebrating the anniversary of the legendary 1977 Cornell concert by making questionable decisions on a golf course.

Glenwoodie Golf Club | Bye Week 2026

So this is what a $60 round of golf should be…3 hour pace, course in solid (not pristine) condition with some interesting greens and a grumpy starter at tee box 1. This 100 year old Muni has some great bones and a very fun routing. You know I’m a sucker for a bell after a blind tee shot. Glenwoodie delivers.

Happy 100th by the way - that’s a tremendous feat. @glenwoodiec

Last slide is in honor to the legendary Coach Mike Ditka - although I am not a Bears fan I am a Mustachioed Football Guy from Chicago and this one stings. Rest in Valhalla Coach 🙏🐻

French Lick, IN | @kornferrytour Championship 2025

Enjoy a few #tbt shots from one of my favorite assignments at work…I had the pleasure of turning the par 3 16th hole of the Pete Dye Course at @frenchlickgolf into my office a year ago this week.

If you’re not familiar with this hole it’s a real doozy. 301yds from the tips with water down the right, fescue along the left, brutal bunkering around the green and a minuscule bailout zone short left. Only for true sickos (like you if you’re still reading). Don’t worry, there are some absolute pro caddies out there to help you navigate Pete’s masterpiece.

If you’re pondering a golf trip next year give French Lick a chance, I know I’ll be back to their Sand Creek Par 3 for some Ace hunting next time I’m in town.

Birthplace of Larry Bird btw and they serve a helluva wing down at Legendz @larry_kalb

A little Gordon Lightfoot for the lake reveal. A little poetic license for the pace of play.

Views like this deserve a moment. Just don’t forget to wave the next group through. ⚓️⛳️
