I truly swore if I would just work harder and harder they would either get inspired or I would compensate for their lack of ambition.

After all we came from the same background so we rise up together right?

WRONG!

The most destructive thought pattern that happen in my brain if I don’t actively REDIRECT it will be that everything I haven’t achieved yet = I am failing

I can be having the best day/week/month/year, making more money, feeling strong af, loving my husband, feeling capable and catching and solving problems left and right.

And still somehow manage to go to bed with a whole list that I didn’t achieved yet or done right.

So what I’ve learned is that my brain will not automatically update its definition of enough just because I got better.

Brain having an attitude like OK WHATS NEXT WHERE IS MORE WHY HAVENT YOU DONT XYZ YET?!

And I teach about how I turn this around in my mini offer Memento Mori.

There is literally zero reason to require myself to feel behind in order to keep moving forward.

I will work towards larger dreams AND be extremely present and grateful for what I have now.

I don’t want to be rich just to have expensive things.

I want the kitchen to ask the waiter “wow who the hell orders everything for one dog? That’s one lucky dog”

(the waitress told us the kitchen was impressed 😂)

Because WHY NOT!!!

Remember the times where I was looking for coins in my winter jackets and coach so I could buy ramen noodles for dinner? Cause I do.

And now I get to create absurd and glorious experiences like this that the younger me couldn’t have even imagined.

Best memories ever.

When you were struggling, your pattern looked like avoidance but now that you’re successful, have a good running business, the pattern shows up like something else.

Like standards or “optimizing”.
Like prepare and protecting your energy.

Totally logical and totally high achieving so there is nothing to question right?

Except, wrong.

That’s the pattern talking.

And when that unexpected 15k tax bill arrives now all of a sudden the morning routine doesn’t matter anymore because URGENCY HAS ARRIVED BABY.
