Our walls tell the story of Vladimir Daskaloff; a sailor, painter, sculptor and designer who made his home and studio in Mallorca.

Today, his artwork, sketches and the iconic dragon mural live on at Bar Daskal, brought to London by his grandchildren, Sam Hart and Anna Watkins.

Our name comes from Vladimir Daskaloff - an artist, sailor and dreamer, his story took him to Mallorca, where he found a home, a studio and endless inspiration.

At Bar Daskal, every wall has a story to tell 😍.

Did you know Bar Daskal was named in honour of our founder’s grandfather, Vladimir Daskaloff - the artist known as ‘Daskal’?

After years at sea, Daskal made his home and studio in the Mallorcan village of Estellencs, where his grandchildren, Sam and Anna, spent their childhood summmers.

Those memories, and a deep love of Spain, its culture and its produce - became the inspiration behind Bar Daskal.

Today, his legacy lives on throughout the bar, from his original paintings and charcoal sketches to family photographs dotted around the bar.

A little piece of Estellencs, right here in Borough Yards.
