Meet the woman behind The Barefoot Golfer. 🌴⛳️✨

For me, golf has never just been about the score.

It’s about the feeling of my bare feet on the earth. The sunshine on my skin. The quiet between shots. The laughter, movement, presence - and that feeling of being completely ALIVE.

I created The Barefoot Golfer at the intersection of so many things I love: golf, nature, wellness, healing, freedom and coming home to yourself.

Because somewhere along the way, I realized that healing doesn’t always have to happen sitting still.

Sometimes it happens while walking a fairway.
Sometimes it happens when you stop keeping score.
Sometimes it happens when you take your shoes off and remember how good it feels to simply be here. 🦶

This is golf with a little less pressure and a lot more soul.

But when you see beyond this veil, life opens with you and begins to expand to higher levels of consciousness.

What if the greatest lesson we could learn on the fairway had nothing to do with our swing, our score, or playing the perfect round?

What if it was about remembering how to PLAY again?

🌿 To feel free.
🌿 To release the pressure to perform.
🌿 To reconnect with our bodies.
🌿 To laugh, breathe, and simply BE.

Somewhere along the way, we learned to measure ourselves by how well we perform according to society’s measure of success.

But what happens when we take off the shoes, drop the expectations, and return to the essence of who we truly are?

That’s where The Barefoot Golfer™ was born.

Not simply as a way to play golf, but as a pathway back to ourselves.

Where ancient wisdom meets modern science. 🌎

At The Barefoot Golfer, we’re exploring the cutting edge of grounding therapy through golf, bringing together the restorative power of nature immersion, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation in an entirely new approach to experiencing the game.

By transforming the fairway into an outdoor space for mindful movement, sensory connection, and intentional presence, we’re reimagining what golf can offer beyond the scorecard.

🌿 The science of nature as medicine.

Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, The Barefoot Golfer embraces the therapeutic potential of intentionally immersing ourselves in nature.

Scientific studies on forest bathing have found associations with reduced cortisol levels, lower blood pressure, improved mood, and increased parasympathetic nervous system activity — the body’s natural rest-and-restore response. Some studies have also observed changes in immune-system markers, including natural killer cell activity.

And while forest bathing traditionally takes place among trees, its underlying principles of slowing down, engaging the senses, and connecting with the natural environment inspire our approach to the fairway.

At The Barefoot Golfer, we believe golf is more than a game. It’s an opportunity to ground ourselves, reconnect with nature, move with intention, and rediscover the freedom of simply BEING. 🌿

When our bare feet meet the earth, something beautiful happens…

👣 We reconnect. Feeling the grass beneath our feet invites us out of our heads and into our bodies.

🌿 We regulate. Time outdoors, mindful movement, and connection with nature can help ease stress and support nervous system well-being.

Sometimes we need to take our shoes off, feel the earth beneath us, and remember what it feels like to be alive again.
