Dear diary, I am writing book that it’s basically The Sisterhood Of Traveling Pants but make it a corpse road trip.
__

Best Friend Dies First is a Y2K retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice following four best friends as they take a summer road trip to the sea, hoping to leave high school, heartbreak, and everything they’ve been avoiding behind.
Gwen, Laja, Nelida, and Vivian spend their journey chasing beaches, diners, old memories, and the feeling that they might finally have forever ahead of them. But as their friendships begin to change and buried feelings rise to the surface, the girls discover that growing up sometimes means losing the people you thought would grow old beside you.

Best Friend Dies First is a Y2K retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice following an unlikely group of senior year girls who decide to spend their last summer with their best friend. They protect her from being alone. They talk to her. They argue beside her. They choose her last wish. They stop at gas stations and sleep in parking lots and eat bad food with salt on their fingers, all while knowing that the world would call this wrong, disturbing, criminal. Well, maybe it is. They need to get rid of her body.

˗ˋ Tears of Gold duology ˊ˗

If you’ve been following me since the beginning, you probably remember the first writing project I ever posted about. Tears of Gold duology (The Burden of Prophetic Dreams and Born With Divine) is a desert fantasy set in a world inspired by the Alibaba and the Forty thieves and the rich cultures, landscapes, and histories of Morocco and Algeria.
The story follows Fana, a young prophetess chosen by the Little Sun Goddess, as she embarks on a journey to save her city from an all-consuming sandstorm. Along the way, she discovers that destiny is far more complex—and tragic—than she ever imagined.

Key words: North African inspired fantasy, SWANA fantasy books, epic fantasy with gods, found family, anti-colonialism, mythology

#CherieLit post!🍒🤍All thanks to @augustdaisyy who organized this wonderful event to bring writers together in a literary café! In the spirit of this event, I’m delighted to introduce you to the world of CROWCATASTIC-an series of mysteries following 1920s sapphic detectives, Galina and Belvia who just want peace, but that seems like too much to ask for. Their adventures involve investigating crimes behind the scenes of society, going on far-flung expeditions to solve cases, risking their own lives to get their story told, and even accidentally being transported to the 21st century.
Key words: writer, detective x criminal mastermind, mystery, book series, sapphic, epistolary, wlw

CROWCATASTIC: THE POSTMAN ALWAYS KNEW is a sapphic 1920s noir novel about a brilliant detective who begins exchanging anonymous letters with a criminal mastermind—only to fall in love with the woman she has sworn to catch.
It’s basically Vita & Virginia meets Moriarty The Patriot, which sounds very classy, but also like a band nobody listens to.
