Introducing the DJ for Friday night's gig at @w.g_mcneills. It's.....

A man of eclectic tastes and many bands, Bart was snapped up by Glasgow a while back after years of tireless work in Edinburgh's music scene. He is the CEO of @eagleowlattack enterprises, plays guitar in @brokenchanter and also slaps da bass (and guitar) in @hank.tree. Contrary to rumour, he has never been a member of Hot Pocket, Daft Graph or the Nicholas Parsons Project.

Bart will be rounding off the evening with some choice cuts from his record box/laptop.

Only a couple of days until we celebrate the release of @uhhhcomber's new EP. Live sets from Comber, Hank Tree and Loup, plus floor fillers from Bart, all for £12!

Excited to announce the next Hidden Songs show! This time we're crossing the river for a night at McNeills in Govanhill, where we'll be hosting full bands for the first time.

And what a special occasion it is, because local hotshots Comber (@uhhhcomber) will be launching their new EP, Time / Ppl Market! Joining them will be the first full band show in ages for @hank.tree and a solo set from songwriting powerhouse @l_o_u__p.

If all that wasn't enough, we'll have a DJ set from @bart_owl to round off the night.

Doodling a penguin to celebrate 20 years of Arctic Circle creating incredible live music events. Always open and welcoming. Always something special.

I've copied one of J Otto Seibold's penguins from 'Penguin Dreams'. Even when he's resting, he's dreaming of big things to come. Much like @littoralpenguin.

And we love Hallowe'en. And we're very excited about our 'Night of a Thousand Eyes' happening at Leith Cricket Club at the end of the month.

To help get you in the mood, @bart_owl / DJ Spillrisk has put together a wee mix - steeped in spookiness and with a bit of an ocular theme.

There's bone-chilling Bollywood, nerve-jangling gialli, spine-tingling synth bangers, spooky 60s pop and everything in between.

Some recent design things / upcoming gigs.

Made a suite of social media graphics for the Dear Green Music Scene eco-friendly festival - a lovely afternoon of music and entertainment for all ages happening this Sunday (where I'll also be performing with @beautifulcosmosband)

It's an amazing line-up, free entry and loads of kid-friendly activities. A lovely way to spend your Sunday.

Also made a poster for funk powerhouse @thescottishparliament's upcoming gig at @therumshack. Only our second ever show! Big thanks to @sgr_recordcafe for helping put it together.
