This is where wearable stories begin.✨ People often ask me where my ideas come from. They expect me to say Fashion shows. Trends. But the truth is… quite another story. I’m Başak. Designer. Macrame artisan who loves wearing her own designs. Collector of moments. And Here’s my another story: Most of new ideas arrive to me while I’m holding a cup of my morning coffee right after feeding our four cats, our babyboy, Can, who loves being loved all the time and our countess, Venüs, watching My plants growing without rushing admiringly, and watching the sun slowly fill the garden. This daily routine reminds me that the most beautiful things in life never ask for attention. They simply exist… waiting for someone to notice. Maybe that’s what I really do. I notice. I capture these quiet pieces of life and slowly turn them into wearable stories. Somewhere in the world, another woman wears one of them while creating a memory of her own. Lately, I’ve been collecting gentle reminders… for every woman who’s been waiting a little too long to wear the dress, take the trip, begin the dream, or simply choose herself. If that’s you… I think you’ll feel at home here. by @basakons
Here’s the real beginning of my sunlit journey.🪶 Most people see the final design… but not the mornings when I sit with my sketchbook, chasing an idea that started as a feeling. I’m Başak, the designer, creative soul, and storyteller behind @_ownyoursun_. Most days feel a little like this: Morning coffee beside my yarns, soft sunlight on my desk, quiet moments where feminine simplicity becomes wearable art. I create pieces shaped by warmth, heritage, and the kind of beauty you feel rather than see, a lifestyle as much as a design process. If you’re drawn to art, slow living, and nature… and if you’re that person who stops to photograph a pretty shadow or a fallen flower and keep that moment with you forever, then welcome. You’ll feel at home here. So pleased to see you here, Sun Soul. Let’s walk this journey together.🌻 by @basakons

Well, that’s an unexpected fashion discovery!👀 Source: Kim et al., PLOS ONE, September 2026. “Fertility increases women’s desire for conspicuous luxury.” #fashionpsychology #womenpsychology #personalstyle by @basakons
I’m genuinely curious, when did “I just like it” stop being a good reason enough? What do you think? #wearablestories #fashiondesigner #littlethings by @basakons
When was the last time you did something just to feel present? Not to be productive. Not to finish something. Not to become better at anything. Just to spend a few minutes with yourself. That’s what I love about macrame. The repetition, the texture, the gentle rhythm. It can become a little form of moving meditation, a way to bring your attention back to the moment without asking your body to sit perfectly still. Because sometimes, the smallest rituals make the most meaningful pauses. A pinch of yarn. A few quiet knots. A little time that’s entirely yours. 🤍 by @basakons
There’s something beautiful about being grateful for what was, excited for what’s next.. And still finding reasons to enjoy where you are right now.🤍 by @basakons
You’re not late. Every turn has been taking you somewhere.🤍 Has life ever taken you somewhere you never planned to go? #verawang by @basakons
40 hasn’t arrived with all the answers. But I do seem to care more about what feels good, less about what’s supposed to look impressive, and I’m ridiculously pleased by things I probably wouldn’t have noticed ten years ago. So yes, reporting from 40: things are looking pretty clear from here. What’s something you appreciate more as you get older? #midlifewomen #growingolder #simplepleasures by @basakons
So much of what makes life good hasn’t happened yet. And so much of it is already here. 🤍 #slowliving #mindfulliving #simplemoments by @basakons
Nothing special on the calendar. Nothing worth making a big announcement about. Just one of those little moments that quietly makes the day feel good.🤍 by @basakons
I know fall is knocking, but I’m still collecting little pieces of summer like I might need them later. 🫠 Anyone else? ✨ by @basakons
