A new chapter is officially open.

This past weekend, we celebrated the grand opening of the Discovery Centre, the new home of Base Living and a first look at what’s next for this evolving community.

From the history that brought us here to the homes, neighbourhoods and connections taking shape today, Base Living is about creating places where life finds its rhythm.

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. We’re just getting started.

Today marked a significant milestone for Base31: we broke ground on 320 new homes at Hilltop Village as part of Base Living.

Since opening our doors in 2022, we’ve had a vision for what this place could become. What began with the revitalization of a historic site into a destination for culture, connection and community is now entering its next chapter: creating a place where people can live, work, gather and belong.

The groundbreaking for Base Living is the culmination of years of work, collaboration and shared belief in what Base31 can contribute to the future of Prince Edward County. We were proud to mark the occasion alongside our partners and community leaders, including The Honourable Rob Flack, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing; MPP Tyler Allsopp; Mayor Ferguson; Hazzem Koudsi of Habitat for Humanity and B31 District General Manager Tammy Sweeny.

320 homes is more than a number. It represents the continued growth of the County and a new chapter for Base31.

Today, we broke ground. Now, we build what comes next.
