TALENT IS GOOD BUT IT WONT TAKE YOU LONG !!

Work hard and be consistent choose your how’s and whys very effectively

A piece of advice if u are wanting other things while u want to be a champion the result will not be what u wish

Having balance is good but with all due respect when it comes to being the best there is no balance the tilt is towards the extreme hard work !

If you look for balance that’s good but that won’t make u a champion bitter truth but it is wat it is, there is some1 else out there putting in the work while u tryna balance things out.

@basia.henderson changed her life and wants her needs 180 degrees, in less than 365 days

She tasted defeat, loss over and over again but she kept knocking that door and guess wat while some1 was balancing there life she broke that door open !

Find your passion and pursue it with everything u have nothing less!

Dm me to work with me ! by @basia.henderson

Some beautiful feedback from one of my long-term clients 🤍 by @basia.henderson

I’ve been working as a body therapist for over a decade, and comments like these mean just as much to me now as they did when I first started.

Not just because it feels good to know I’ve helped someone, but because I believe making a difference is more than knowing what to do with the body.

It’s also about knowing how to be with the person in front of you.

Yes, I know my anatomy and physiology. I know how to work with pain, tension, injuries and dysfunctional movement.

I’ve spent years developing those skills, practising them and teaching them. And as a bodybuilder, I do understand the importance of recovery and good mobility.

But I also understand you don’t walk into the treatment room as a collection of muscles, joints and connective tissue.

You bring your life with you.

Alongside bodywork, I’ve also worked as a coach, spending hundreds of hours sitting with people talking about things they had sometimes carried for years and never said out loud.

And the longer I do this work, the more I realise how much those different parts of my experience come together in the treatment room.

Sometimes clients need to talk. Sometimes they need silence. Sometimes they need to laugh, cry or vent. Sometimes something comes out that they weren’t expecting to say.

And sometimes they simply need somewhere they don’t have to perform, hold everything together or be anything for anyone else.

Because you don’t leave your life outside the treatment room. You bring all of it with you.

And maybe that’s where the magic happens.

You might not leave with all your problems solved. But you leave lighter. Calmer. More grounded. More like yourself. And maybe whatever is waiting outside feels a little more manageable from there.

I left the soulless corporate world because I wanted my work to mean something. Comments like these remind me that I get to do exactly that, and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

So when you come for a treatment, come as you are.

You don’t need to be any particular version of yourself here. Whatever you bring into the room that day is welcome 🤍 by @basia.henderson

We had a pleasure to offer Kobido face massage at Rooted Beings retreat in @beechbrae organised by @nala_yogauk

Not only did we get to share the treatment we’re so passionate about but we also got included in the retreat activities 🥹

Morning yoga with Nicola was exactly what we needed to calm and ground ourselves before work.

Our bellies got spoiled by @plantedbycali with her snacks and butter bean stew 🤤

To top the day up our joyful creative brain cells had a chance to come to live during glass workshop with @kimberleyarmstrongglass

Safe to say our Sunday was bloody fabulous!

Not only did we get to look after wonderful women, but we also got to rest ourselves.

Nicola is running another day retreat in November and I would strongly advise you check it out. by @basia.henderson

CLIENT LOVE 🥰

Reviews like this genuinely mean a lot 🙏🤍

One of the things I hear surprisingly often is: “I’ve seen so many people about this.”

Sometimes clients come to me after dealing with something for years. They’ve seen different specialists, tried different treatments and maybe found some relief, but nobody has quite connected all the dots.

And that part is really important to me, because often connecting those dots is the missing link that makes the difference.

I don’t just want to know where it hurts. I want to know what else is happening around it:

🌿 how you’re moving
🌿 what you’re compensating for
🌿 what other areas are holding tension
🌿 and what lifestyle factors or seemingly unrelated parts of your health history might be contributing.

Because the body doesn’t exist as a collection of completely separate parts.

It’s an incredible system, and I’m a lifelong student who wants to understand it as a whole.

I’ll never promise to “fix” you. Our bodies are designed to heal when the right conditions are there. My job is to look at things from different angles, stay curious, and do my best to help create an environment that supports your body’s recovery.

Have you been dealing with pain or tension that just isn’t shifting? Maybe it’s time to look at it from a different angle. Book your appointment through the link in bio.

P.S. Agnieszka calls me her physio in her review ☺️ I’m a remedial therapist, not a physiotherapist. I’m often my regular clients’ go-to when they’re dealing with injuries or pain, so apparently I’ve earned the unofficial title 😁 by @basia.henderson

If I could only choose one stretch to keep my body feeling good, this would be it.

I spend hours every week leaning over a massage table - shoulders and arms forward, constantly working in that forward position. So opening everything back up feels AMAZING!

This is my go-to.

Even one minute in between clients can make a difference, but if I have five minutes to stay here, breathe and properly switch off… even better.

It helps me open through my chest, shoulders, abdomen and hips, while the supported position and slow, deep breathing help my whole body and nervous system settle and relax.

A few things if you want to try it:

🌿 Work with your own range. I’m naturally very flexible, so your stretch absolutely doesn’t need to look like mine.

🌿 Always support your head and neck rather than letting your head simply drop backwards.

🌿 Don’t push yourself deeper. Breathe, relax and let your body gradually soften into the stretch.

🌿 Play around with your arm and leg positions depending on where your body needs more space that day.

This is for you if you spend a lot of time leaning forward - massage therapists, nail/lash technicians, beauty therapists, dentists, desk workers, drivers… or anyone whose lifestyle has slowly turned them into a prawn 😂

For me this daily stretch, dead hangs before my workouts, strengthening my back at the gym and regular massage are the main things that help counteract the position I work in and keep my body feeling good 😌

Dead hangs deserve their own posts though (soon).

Happy stretching! by @basia.henderson

One of the hardest things about living with ongoing pain is that, after a while, you start believing your body is working against you.

You’ve seen specialists.
You’ve tried treatments.
You’ve followed the advice.

And every time something doesn’t work, it’s easy to wonder if this is just something you’ll have to live with.

I don’t see it that way.

Over the years, I’ve learned that the body rarely works in separate parts. More often than not, it’s trying to adapt, compensate and communicate with us in ways that aren’t always obvious at first.

My role as a therapist is to step back, look at the bigger picture, connect the dots and ask different questions.

Sometimes it’s only when posture, breathing, movement, the nervous system, old habits, lifestyle and pain patterns are looked at together that the story finally starts to make sense.

Most of our clients at Lek’ko are incredibly resilient people. They hold everything together, keep showing up for everyone else and just keep going.

To everyone else, they seem completely okay. Their bodies, however, are often telling a different story.

I don’t believe your body is working against you.

More often than not, it’s trying to protect you… and sometimes it just needs someone to help you understand what it’s been trying to say.

If you’ve ever left an appointment thinking,

“I still don’t feel like anyone really understands what’s going on…”

maybe what you need isn’t another technique.

Maybe you need someone who’ll take the time to see the whole picture.

Massive congratulations to my athlete on taking the Overall Women’s Title at NABBA Scotland 🇬🇧🔥
And securing PRO status to top it off.

This wasn’t luck — this was execution.
Weeks of precision, discipline, and trusting the process every step of the way.

Conditioning, structure, stage presence — all on point when it mattered most.

Proud is an understatement. This is what we do.

One hour treatments are great, quick, convenient.

But 2 hour sessions is where the magic really happens, where you really surrender and relax.

Lekko Signature treatment is our most popular session and I know exactly why. This is definitely my go to treatment.

Thank you @basia.henderson for delivering the most glorious, relaxing and releasing treatment 🫶🏼 (yes, we do use our breaks between appointments to stretch 😆) by @basia.henderson

You are high functioning.
You are managing.
You are pushing through.
You are the one people rely on.
You carry a lot and you carry it well.
You are used to holding everything together.

From the outside it looks like you are doing great.
Maybe even thriving.
But the body often tells a different story.

A lot of the people who are drawn to Basia’s work are people like this.
And probably one of the reasons is that she understands this state very well because she lived it herself. Corporate life, high performing job, constant pressure, responsibility and the feeling that you just have to keep going no matter what until burnout.

That experience changed the way she understands the body, stress and tension. It is a big part of why she works the way she works now.

Her work is not just focused on one sore muscle.
She works with the nervous system, breathing, jaw, face and the whole body as one system because very often the body is not tight because it needs more pressure.
It is tight because it never gets a moment where it does not have to hold everything together.

This is how Basia works at Lekko. by @basia.henderson
