They saw my smiles but when they saw my self-inflicted bruises and cuts they looked away but loved my vacation post on ig

Everybody loves to talk about pilates but not about the realness of mental illness symptoms 🙃

You need mental health to survive the mental illness, yet also to face and address the reality of mental health disorders.

Honestly, it’s sad how mental illness awareness has been romanticized and mixed with mental HEALTH.

Hot take? Yoga is not what will help with a BPD splitting episode. Yes, in the long run, sure.

But learning how to not judge and push the real symptoms away? Learning how to look closer and actually help? That’s where it’s at 🔍 by @basicallyemy
