SEPTEMBER READING RECAP ✍️ I had a slow reading month but I watched a lot of πŸ“Ί, made a ton of bracelets, acted as an uber driver for my teen boys, learned how to play Mahjong and much more! Life was full! I read 7 great reads. My average star rating was 4.3. πŸ‘πŸ» Favorite read? It’s hard to pick this month but I guess I’ll go with TEAM PIERCE (Emma Lion). Let me know if we’re on the same team or not. Book Club winner was The Women on Platform Two. This author is an auto read for me. Best Backlist goes to Wonderland. I’ve had this on my kindle since it came out years ago but apparently had to wait until it released on audio. This is one of my faves from Hillier. Another season of Big Brother has come and gone so it was appropriate to listen and reflect on 20+ years with Behind the Mirror. My reading experience may have started off on shaky ground with The Pirate Queen but I found my footing and I fecking loved Grace. What are some of your standout reads from September? See anything you want to read or loved? #basicbsguide #readingrecap #bookish #lifeofareader #readmorebooksπŸ“š by @basicbsguide

A few of my favorite September memories… 🎢 A date night with great lottery seats to the Sound of Music Musical. 🎀 Ariel Lawhon talking about her new book, Pirate Queen. She’s funny and has great taste in books! More to come on that event. πŸ€„οΈFinally joining the Mahjong cult. It takes a lot of brain power but I’m determined! πŸ“Ώ Still on my jewelry making kick but making more for myself these days. It’s fun to be inspired regularly. πŸ“Ί Watching BB of course (finale is tonight) and going down a rabbit hole on the Idaho 4 case (Amber Vance on YouTube is where it’s at). πŸ“š I read less but the quality was excellent. Can’t complain about that. Tell me some of your favorite things from September. πŸ‘‡πŸ» #basicbsguide #authorevents #craftinggirl #bookish #favoritethings by @basicbsguide

Is it too early to reread? Who knew I would love big books in 2026? I guess I’m getting back to my roots. πŸ€“ I listened to this with my Spotify audiobook hours and at 28+ hours I had to add on the plus program to finish. My only complaint is that I thought things wrapped up too quickly in the end. I honestly would have been happy listening to another 10 hours. Narrated by January LaVoy (a fave) and Jenna Lamia, they both made the story come to life. There are plenty of rave reviews out there so I don’t feel the need to go on and on but consider me a fan. This is a book that will surely land in my top 10 of the year. What’s the last big book you enjoyed? #thecalamityclub #mustread #basicbsguide #bigbooks #bookish by @basicbsguide
