The Count Basie Dance majors visited @nyuniversity last semester (Fall 2025) and took a Social Dance Master class with the Kaleidoscope I graduate students of @nyudanceed 💜

Our dance majors engaged in a warm up activity, along with some collaborative work in creating and performing different Social Dances throughout American History; prioritizing community, storytelling, and self-expression through Dance ✨

Thank you @nyusteinhardt, @nyudanceed, @debdamast for having us! taken in NYU Steinhardt Dance Education Graduate Programs by @basiearts

Our Basie Jewels dance team had the pleasure of opening for the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall during @therockettes 100th anniversary year. Our dancers worked really hard to represent themselves, the Dance department, and Performing Arts at Catherine and Count Basie on the Great Stage.

An occasion like this makes us so proud to attest how the Arts can provide exposure to children, help them to connect, and explore different dance career paths and possibilities in the real world.

On behalf of the Catherine and Count Basie Magnet School for Multimedia and Performing Arts, we want to thank @thegarden , @radiocitymusichall , and the NYC DOE Arts Office for the opportunity and experience. #rockettes100 by @basiearts
