We’re thrilled to share the gorgeous cover for Charlotte Philby’s newest summer thriller, HOT YOUNG THINGS, coming June 2027! ☀️

The most beautiful lives hide the ugliest truths . . .

When lauded journalist Helena Van Noten is offered the exclusive story that could save her hard-won career, she must travel from London to sun-drenched Menorca to cover the opening of an exhibition by the mysterious Sophia Bamford. Sophia hasn’t been seen in public since her New York socialite parents died in a helicopter crash years earlier. Now, the eyes of the world are on her.

As Helena finds herself drawn into the spotlight, what began as a lifeline quickly becomes dangerous. The deeper she digs, the more she uncovers a web of lies, imaginary fortunes, and false identities constructed as carefully as the art she writes about. Long buried secrets are stirring, and someone will go to any length to keep them hidden.

From the author of The End of Summer comes a dazzling literary thriller that sweeps readers into the glittering yet sinister world of international art, via the mega-yachts of the global elite. This is a story of deception, ambition, and a secret worth dying for.

Streanshalt, 1824. Under the veil of darkness, a woman wades into the sea carrying the lifeless body of her young daughter. Standing on the shore, her thirteen-year-old son Alfie watches in helpless agony as the two people he loves the most are submerged in the freezing water, his mother’s final words a curse on the entire, wretched town.

Ten years later, Streanshalt still shuns Alfie as they did those ‘Alum witches’ before him, but Alfie can’t bear to leave the only place he has ever called home.

It’s another dark night when Alfie stumbles across a mysterious woman who has washed up on the tide. She carries with her a small leather trunk, her secrets locked inside . . .

Now, old enemies are paying attention to Arthur. And Susan’s busy yet predictable life caring for others – her elderly patients, her adult daughter Ruby – is about to unravel.

A dying wish. A trail of murder.

Don’t miss DEATH COMES AS A SHADOW, the gripping new 1930s-set historical crime novel from the critically acclaimed author of Needless Alley, @natalie_marlow1936, arriving 5th November 🔍

It’s May 1935, and while the rest of England is decked in red, white and blue for the King’s silver jubilee, the detective agency in Birmingham’s Needless Alley remains unpatriotically down-at-heel.

With the bailiffs at their door, private enquiry agents William Garrett and Phyll Hall are relieved to take on what appears to be a straightforward and lucrative case. Respectable spinster Myfanwy Davies is dying and wishes to be reconciled with her estranged sister - her only living relative - before it’s too late.

In their search for the missing woman, William and Phyll are drawn into a complex web of murder and intrigue, as they journey from the glamorous world of Britain’s burgeoning film industry to the sinisterly genteel headquarters of an apocalyptic cult.

Just who is Myfanwy Davies? Where is her sister? In a case that is anything but straightforward, it’s not long before death casts its long shadow over the investigation #bookstagram #crimefiction #historicalfiction by @baskervillejmp
