GOOD NEWS — WE FOUND BUGATTI!!! ❤️😭

Exactly one year later, our beautiful baby girl is finally home.

Bugatti was found in Burlingame, across the bay from Emeryville, by someone who thought she was a stray and brought her in to be spayed. Thankfully, her microchip worked and on September 15th we got the call that she was at the Peninsula SPCA.

She went missing September 16th, 2025 and came home September 16th, 2026. Exactly one year later. Somehow she made it 30 miles AND across the bay… if you’re wondering how, SAME.

Aside from some scratches and signs of fights along the way, she’s healthy and in great spirits. Mostly eating, sleeping, baking biscuits and requiring nonstop pets. She’s separated from Boba for now, but he’s extremely curious about his older sister and keeps reaching his paw under the door.

We honestly couldn’t believe it at first. It had been 4 months since our last lead and after so many scams(there were many). But the second we saw her and started petting her, her namesake “Bugatti W16 engine” turned on and we knew we had finally found our little girl.

Over the past year, we found 10+ cats while searching for Bugatti and helped reunite a few with their families. We’re so grateful we finally got to experience that feeling ourselves.

Most importantly, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who helped us. Our friends, family and neighbors who searched, put up posters and called shelters; strangers on Reddit and Nextdoor who searched, shared leads and offered support; the Berkeley print shop that gave us free posters for months; and everyone who prayed for her and kept us going when we lost hope.

Saif and I will never forget the kindness our little community showed us.

Thank you @pawboost @nextdoor
@petcolovelost for helping us find a community that cared so deeply.

And to anyone still searching for a missing pet: please don’t lose faith. Miracles really do happen.

A little painting study from one of my favorite kinds of days. When I just sit outside, observe all the tiny colors and details, and put them on paper.

I find there is something very satisfying about watching a scene slowly turn into brushstrokes.

I’ve done many shoots, but this one had me going aww every single minute 🥹
From helping a client plan a surprise engagement for the love of his life to hiding in the bushes to catch that perfect moment… AAHHHH. I love engagement shoots so much.

Thank you for trusting me with your big moment Sam & Carl ♥️

All four banners I created for the city of Emeryville are now up on Hollis st. and Shellmound st. It’s surreal to see months of work come together and live on the streets. I am so incredibly grateful to showcase my work in a public setting.

If you’re in Emeryville, go take a walk and look up at the poles. They are all full with art ❤️🦋

All the paintings I created, sold, gifted, and watched find homes on walls this summer. (Well not all. Some are still looking for a home) 🥹

New milestone unlocked and the 10 year old Basmah in me is screaming rn!! 💃🏽🔓

It’s so wild to see something that started in my little sketchbook now hanging above the streets in Emeryville.

I’m so excited to share that one of the four banners I created for the City of Emeryville is now up on Hollis and Shelmound st. Here’s a little glimpse of how it all began.

Can’t wait to show you the other banners too!

No gallery tour yet—just a quiet little moment in the middle of it all.
I still need to take proper pictures (you know me 🤗🙈), because that’s part of the process too. I can’t leave one love behind while chasing another. 📸

But I had to share this with you.
Because I wouldn’t be here without the times you reminded me to keep going—even when I felt like giving up. I followed my passion, yes, but your words stayed with me. So thank you, truly.

It feels surreal. I’ve been recording everything so I can hold onto these little moments forever. And like Rick Rubin says, the creative process isn’t complete until the artist shares it with the world. He really gets it.

So here’s me—sharing. I hope you stick around this month. And I hope you chase the soft, bold, beautiful things your heart wants too!!!
