Coorg, but slower.

Four days. Deep in a 75-acre private estate in the Western Ghats, far from the usual Madikeri circuit. We start with a birding stop at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary and then drive towards gorgeous Coorg. Towards walks through coffee, cardamom and pepper plantations, a hike to a waterfall and nights under star-filled skies. We will explore quieter corners of Coorg on the last day, a palace, a waterfall and some more. No rushed itinerary crammed to the minute — just good trails, good company, and time to actually be in it.

And because every good road trip needs one special stop, we swing by Channapatna on the way back. "Gombegala nagara", the “town of toys" of Karnataka where Tipu Sultan is said to have brought Persian artisans to train toymakers. You will find beautiful toys of all kinds, and our personal favorite, the whistling clay birds that only gives out a bird song when you fill it with water!

This is what goes into planning a great adventure.

Before we take our patrons on a trip, we take the time to experience the route ourselves. Because underestimating a trail is a failsafe way to get lost

This recce day helped us understand the trail better, spot the little things that could make the experience smoother, and figure out what we can do better next time.

The verdict? Start earlier. Pack breakfast. And go with folks who know how to find their way around trails!

And keep doing the things we know work: right clothes + sunscreen to protect from sun, 2 bottles of water per person, slow and steady climb with plenty of fluids and shade breaks!

Because the best adventures aren’t just about reaching the destination — they’re about everything that goes into making the journey memorable.
