As batwin + robin productions celebrates its 35th year we are thrilled to share that Adam Casini, Valerie Chin, and Megan Gargagliano are now owners and lead principals of the company, continuing b+r’s legacy of producing creative, innovative, and meaningful installation media.

After celebrating the completion of a capstone project with the opening of the Obama Presidential Center Museum in June, co-founder Linda Batwin O’Donovan has moved into a new and exciting phase to pursue her personal passion projects. Co-founder Robin Silvestri continues to enjoy her best life in Connecticut following her retirement in 2020. Linda and Robin remain supportive consultants to the company, always ready to step in with a helping hand or their creative input.

Adam, Valerie, and Megan have a combined 50+ years of experience at b+r. They are extremely proud to have learned from and worked so closely with Linda and Robin on incredible projects such as the Obama Presidential Center Museum, Walt Disney Family Museum, the First Americans Museum, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, and theatrical productions on and off Broadway.

We look forward to b+r’s next chapter as we continue to create quality work achieved through passion, care, and joyful collaboration. Thank you to all of those who have joined us on this journey and for being a part of our past 35 years. Here’s to 35 more! ✨🎉 by @batwinandrobin

On Day 2 of the 2026 SEGD Conference, Aki Carpenter (@akichan43) of Ralph Appelbaum Associates (@ralph_appelbaum_associates), Sara Pasch (@sarapasch) of the Obama Presidential Center (@obamafoundation), and Megan Gargagliano and Valerie Chin of batwin + robin (@batwinandrobin) take the stage for Filming Democracy: Media Storytelling at the Obama Presidential Center Museum.

How do you produce more than 75 film and media pieces for a museum built around democracy, public service, and the power of everyday people? This panel pulls back the curtain on exactly that, covering the ambitious creative vision, shifting content, multiple creative partners, accessibility requirements, and stakeholders that included a former President and First Lady.

The conversation gets into the real mechanics of building the Museum's film experiences, from sweeping, emotional set pieces down to small, intimate stories, and how the team found a consistent visual language that could hold all of it together. Those media pieces end up carrying a huge share of the Museum's emotional weight, telling the story of the Obama presidency and grounding it in historical context, all while blending seamlessly into the architecture and the rest of the visitor journey.

This session is a rare and detailed look at how a team holds a massive creative vision together across multiple partners and high-stakes approval chains. This is the kind of challenge most of us only get to guess at from the outside.

Thank you to our Presenting Sponsors, Color-Ad, Inc. (@color_ad_inc) and Nanolumens (@nanolumens_led), for making this conference possible.

📍The 2026 Conference is less than a month away!

The newly opened exhibition "In Their Honor: 25 Years of 9/11-Inspired Service" examines the continued impact that individual acts of service have had on their communities, and the ways grief was transformed into action – rippling out and inspiring others, now a quarter century after the attacks.

For the exhibition, batwin + robin, along with project partners @upswellstudio, worked with the @911memorial to create ambient environmental media and an interactive media experience, "Feathers of the Phoenix."

Visitors can explore a 3D model of a composite artwork in the form of a phoenix sculpture created from artwork made in 2006 by children at America’s Camp – many of whom had family members who were victims of the attacks.

As part of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center’s new permanent exhibition, "In This Place," Upswell was engaged to design an interactive centerpiece inspired by the Ohio River, which runs past the museum. A 12-foot communal table invites visitors to explore a layered stream of artifacts and historic narratives, examining the region’s past as a borderland between slave and free states — and the ongoing dynamics of justice and injustice that converge here. Today, on Juneteenth, we are celebrating the opening of the new In This Place gallery at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. batwin + robin had the privilege of working with @ralph_appelbaum_associates and @freedomcenter to create a panoramic media program exploring the significance of Cincinnati’s place on the Ohio River to the Underground Railroad and connecting the activism of this historical movement to freedom struggles in the United States up through the present day. Our project partner @upswellstudio created an interactive media table in the gallery exploring the same themes. taken in National Underground Railroad Freedom Center by @batwinandrobin
