⬆️ Bayes Business School MSc Management alumnus Janos Renz-Hotz appointed to National Museum of Nuclear Science & History Board of Trustees.

A data scientist turned technology executive, Janos is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sandia Insights, an Albuquerque-based FinTech company. He will bring more than two decades of experience in artificial intelligence, large-scale data systems, financial technology, and global markets to the Museum's leadership.

It was wonderful to welcome members of the MBA Class of 1991 back to Bayes Business School this month for their 35th anniversary reunion. Tours of the Bunhill Row and Finsbury Square buildings were followed by an opportunity to catch up over tea and coffee and meet some of our current MBA students. 📢 The Bayes Executive MBA in the Financial Times 2026 ranking – “a result that emphasises the rich and diverse experience we offer to EMBA students in helping them accelerate their careers.”

Senior Bayes Business School faculty comment on the news earlier today that our School’s Executive MBA has been confirmed in 44th position in the world, 27th in Europe and 6th in the UK by the latest Financial Times EMBA Ranking.

For Dr Paulina Roszkowska, Bayes EMBA Course Director, the result “reflects what Bayes does best: bringing business thinking into practice and ambitious people together to challenge ideas, learn from each other and change how they lead.”

Professor Richard Payne, Deputy Dean for Programmes at Bayes, sees the programme’s latest finish in the ranking as a showcase for “the value of the work we’ve been doing to keep our MBA offering fresh and to cater for the needs of both today’s employers and a busy part-time student body.”

🏆 Bayes Business School rises 11 places in the latest Financial Times EMBA 2026 Ranking, up to 44th in the world.

The latest ranking also sees the Bayes Executive MBA rise eight places to 27th in Europe, retain sixth position in the UK and record the largest year-on-year improvement of any ranked UK business school.

Other highlights include:

• Top five in the UK for alumni salary levels
• Top five in the UK for alumni salary increases
• Top five in the UK for ESG teaching
• Joint first globally for female student balance

🧑🏾‍🎓💡 🏫 Lord Simon Woolley welcomed to Bayes Business School on Wednesday 7 October for this year’s Craft Lecture, ‘Performative or Permanent? The Real Test for University EDI in an Age of Backlash’.

Drawing on his experience as a campaigner, public servant, educator and legislator, the current Principal at Homerton College (University of Cambridge) Lord Woolley challenged the audience to consider what it means to move beyond performative commitments to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) towards meaningful, lasting institutional change.

A central message resonated throughout the evening: lasting change is not defined by what we say, but by what we do. Embedding inclusion requires more than meeting compliance requirements or making symbolic gestures. It demands courageous leadership, accountability and a commitment to ensuring that equity shapes our institutional culture, governance and decision-making.

As universities and business schools navigate an increasingly challenging landscape for EDI, the lecture was a timely reminder that inclusive institutions are built through action, not words alone.

We would like to thank Lord Woolley for an insightful and thought-provoking lecture, and everyone who joined us for an important conversation.

Bayes Business School has once again featured prominently in the Stanford | Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists citation ranking, based on Scopus data.

No ranking can capture the full breadth of academic contribution, but it is encouraging to see the global reach and influence of Bayes academics’ research recognised across different fields. Congratulations to all those included!
