We often look at successful people and admire their strength, confidence and achievements. But how often do we stop to think about the people who helped them become who they are?

The parents who guided them. The grandparents who shared their wisdom. The people who believed in them, supported them and taught them how to face life’s challenges.

Privilege isn’t always about money. Sometimes it’s about growing up surrounded by people who give you the tools to face life. What we call individual strength is often built through years of shared experiences, relationships and support.

Watching the video I got from @bobskinstad from all those years ago, visiting @southafrica through a trip organised by @bayesbschool ! A true privilege!

It’s okay. I get it.

For some people, graduation feels exciting and full of possibility. For others, it can feel a little overwhelming. There’s this misconception that once you graduate, you’re supposed to have all the answers, know exactly what’s next, and have your entire career mapped out.

But that’s not the reality for everyone.

If you’re feeling unsure about what comes next, you’re not alone. Taking the time to reflect and ask yourself the right questions can help you better understand what genuinely excites you, what you’re passionate about, and where you want to go next.

This conversation was a reminder that it’s okay not to have everything figured out. Sometimes, asking yourself the right questions is the first step towards finding the right path. #graduation #justgraduated #whatsnext #bayesbusinessschool

“Maybe none of us is ever truly ready.”

That was the message from the student speaker at graduation, and it stayed with me. 🎓

Maybe none of us is ever truly ready.

Not to become parents.
Not to move across the world.
Not to start school, university, a career... or the next chapter of our lives.

Yet somehow, we grow into it.

Alexane started kindergarten in Montréal, in French.

A year later, she began first grade in California... in English.

Then she chose another adventure: moving to London to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Investment Risk Management.

Not the easy route.
The adventurous one.
Thoughtfully planned. Wonderfully organized.
(Yes... with lots of spreadsheets. 😊)

Along the way, she explored Europe, embraced new cultures, broadened her perspective, and discovered a world far bigger than any classroom could offer.

Today, degree in hand, she’s ready to begin her career, build a beautiful life with Brady, and write her own next chapter.

Ma fille d’amour,

Thank you for reminding us that we don’t have to feel ready to grow.

We simply have to be willing to take the first step.

Papa and I couldn’t be prouder of the woman you’ve become.

Bravo, Congratulations, Alexane. 💕

On Saturday, 7 February 2026, we hosted a @bayesalumni and recruitment gathering in Athens at Trident Cars SA, the official importer of Lamborghini, Maserati, and Lotus in Greece. It was a memorable evening bringing together alumni, prospective students, and friends of @bayesbschool in a setting that reflected entrepreneurship, family legacy, and craftsmanship.

We were warmly welcomed by George Theodore Lymberakis (MSc Business Administration, 1976) and his son Theodore George Lymberakis @theolymberakis (MSc Entrepreneurship, 2025), representing two generations of Bayes graduates and business leadership. The Trident Cars team gave us a behind the scenes tour of their facilities, sharing the full client journey from acquisition and customization to delivery and long term relationship management, with a few remarkable hypercars along the way.

The evening continued with programme updates from Stuart Wallace and Balbir Guru, followed by a conversation with George and Theodore about building a relationship driven luxury business, the connection between succession and long term success, and how new ideas in digital storytelling and customer engagement can strengthen an established legacy.

Events like this are a great reminder of the strength of the Bayes alumni network across generations, industries, and countries.
