The homes that stay with me are the ones that feel like they were always meant to be that way. Not decorated, but collected. Layered over time with pieces that hold meaning and reflect the people who live there.

That philosophy started when I was working on my own Mill Valley home, learning the 1930s architecture room by room and searching for pieces that felt true to it. It’s the same approach we bring to our clients’ homes today, just on a larger scale.

We are drawn to what feels enduring and personal, curating homes that are warm and deeply connected to the people who live in them. The result is a space that feels effortless, inviting and as though it has always been there.

We are currently accepting inquiries for Summer ’26 and would love to learn more about your home and working together.

It’s a true honor to share that our #LaPetiteSalle project has been featured in the one and only @dominomag. What makes this moment even more special is that it’s our first time ever being published, a huge milestone for BBMD.

This project is especially dear to my heart. Our clients trusted us to bring a statement to life in their home and that trust meant everything. Being invited to push boundaries with color and design is incredibly special, and this space became one of the first moments where we really stepped into something bold as a studio.

This will always be a cornerstone project for BBMD and I am so grateful we had the opportunity to bring it to life for such wonderful clients and now share it with the world through @dominomag.

It’s time to officially meet our #ShorelineKitchen project, the warm and grounded kitchen of our clients’ dreams. Kitchens are the sweetest spaces to design because they’re where life truly unfolds. Every family gathering, celebration, and quiet morning and evening somehow finds its way back here.

When it came time to design our clients’ renovated kitchen, we knew we weren’t just updating a room. We were creating the backdrop for countless future memories for their growing family. Here are the first official glimpses of the kitchen transformation, swipe to the end to see the space before we got our hands on it ✨

Our Renovation List:
✔️Removing the awkward peninsula and introducing an island to ground the space and create a gathering area
✔️Reconfiguring the layout for more flow — this included closing off the door to the office to adjust the fridge placement to not overcrowd the range area
✔️Adding a bar to the dining space for additional storage and entertaining fun
✔️Introducing a custom built-in pantry wall for keeping everything organized and accessible while maintaining the kitchen’s streamlined aesthetic

BBMD is making moves again 🚀

Big news around here - we’re growing! And you might be juuuust the person we’re looking for, so let’s give you a few details…

We’re seeking an experienced, technically proficient Interior Designer to work closely with our Founder and Principal Designer (a.k.a. yours truly, Becca).

If you’re the kind of person who takes initiative to handle projects and make decisions, has excellent attention to detail but can also keep a project moving, and loves creating beautiful homes (and a few other things, see above), please reach out! And if you’re just seeing this as an admirer of design, please send it to someone you think might be a good fit 😉

We can’t wait to hear from you! 🤍

You guys I’ve gotta be honest for a sec… I’m kind of dreading Halloween - but wait, hear me out!

The fall that includes soup, pumpkins, cozy sweaters, Thanksgiving? Yes. 1000% yes. The fall that includes decking out the house for Halloween? Not so much. I’m just not a spooky gal.

That being said, now that I’m a mom I’ve taken it as my sworn duty to not pass on my lack of spookiness to my children. I promise. 😂 So fellow moms, what are we dressing up our kids for this year? taken in Marin County by @bbmeyerdesign

Drumroll please 🥁 Drywall is UP at the Inverness Cottage and the backsplash tile is being installed as we speeeak!

I’m so excited to see this project completed, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little sad that I won’t have a reason to visit Inverness every week.

Anyone else looking for a designer around these parts? I promise I’m finally learning how to say Inverness correctly if that influences your decision at all 😂 taken in Inverness, California by @bbmeyerdesign

When the finish line is so close you can almost TASTE it...release the rain on your...skin?

Maison Kitchen reveal is just around the CORNER and it’s about to be spectacular. All the final little details are making their way in and we are so excited for our clients to have their dream kitchen 🪄 taken in Marin County by @bbmeyerdesign

Our Menlo Manor Project is in the final stretch and that means you guys are about to be in for a treat 🤭

The before’s on this baby are one-of-a-kind. Think gnarly carpet, crazy tile, and that look that kind of just gives, dare I say… early 2000s design identity crisis?

But luckily the clients’ have great taste, and we’ve converted the crazy into ✨calm✨ - The finish date is right around the corner so stay tuned!

How many of you called my bluff back when I said “we’re definitely going to take the projects at our new home slow”? (Ooooops) 🤭

In true Becca fashion, I made an official proposal deck and shared it with Kurt so he can get the true ✨vision✨ for our home. Spoiler Alert: I’m leaning into her Tudor exterior and she’s gettin’ allllll the charm.

We’ve fiiiinally hit that part of the process where things are actually (noticeably) happening again! 🙌🏼

Drywall is going up at the Inverness Cottage and if you’ve ever lived through a renovation you know that means one thing - things are about to get really real. I swear that drywall goes up and BOOM it’s a mad dash to the finish line.

We’re crossing our fingers and toes that this baby is done by Thanksgiving… wish us luck! 🤞🏼

Soooo I blinked and now we have a one year old?!

We celebrated Kit’s birthday earlier this month and of course we had to go all out (and also have our first gathering in the new house!) 🎂

It’s also just so fun to think about all the site visits and meetings I took her to when she was just a tiny baby and how all of those projects are nearly wrapping up now that she’s one 🥹

Here’s to one year with our sweet little sunshine girl - Happy Birthday Kit! ☀️ taken in Marin County by @bbmeyerdesign
