Meet the Artists: Adelf Uti
Adelf is a queer Nigerian, grief alchemist, visual artist, and Postpartum doula who creates at the threshold between what is seen and what is felt.
Her practice is a form of a living altar work; a soul language spoken through pigment, ritual, sound, and the unspoken poetry of storytelling. This work is done using oil pastels, collage, graphic art, and installation-based altars built within community.
Adelf will be one of the recipients of your charitable tax deductible donation. these honorariums are investments in artists like @adelf.u whose work inspires truth, reflection, care, and deep consideration of the self and other. My heart is so full!! 🥹

Grateful to everyone that pulled up to support!! I felt so seen, held and affirmed to the core of my soul 😭 Definitely couldn’t have done it without y’all 🫂🫶🏾

We made about half of my rent 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
+ I’m supposed to hear back about contract stuff next week so I’m feeling ease in my spirit but keep me in your prayers 🫂✨

I also look forward to hosting more gatherings once life feels more settled, so stay tuned ☺️

Life Update

Deep gratitude to everyone who donated 🥹 I was able to cover rent and bills for the month of May.

Still have a ways to go, but taking it one day at a time.

Reciprocity is a deep value of mine, so I’m working with a few homies to put together a raffle + rent party at the end of the month.

There will be lots of dope prizes to win, plus cool stuff for sale—prints, original art pieces, baked goods, and more.
