"BOOM I got you a pot filler. I did that for you. Love you."
We remodeled our kitchen all by ourselves and I suggested a pot filler where the new stove top was going bc the bathroom sink was in the other side.
What does my amazing husband do.....he made it happen. He could do anything and especially if it was for me.

Gosh I miss him so much....there's still projects to do 😊

I can only imagine the anticipation of seeing my 2020 kitchen renovation during Co-Vid has left you awake at night. 😉
I have 2 other reels prior to this one that sparked me putting together a before & after. I'll leave you hanging for another day to see in a future reel what it looks like today.
It all started with changing the faucet out to gutting the whole room. My husband, a paraplegic who many thought of him when they heard Weird Al's song handyman, and with my help renovated it all on our own.
The layout is similar with some tweaks.
-Under the sink was left open so my husband could roll right underneath and not have to sideways anymore to do the one chores he despised, dishes!!!
-Stovetop and oven kind of swapped places.
-I have more counterspace
-Installed motion sensor lights under the cabinets (My hubby made ab extra outlet in the cabinet left of the oven then was able to connect the lights from that end, up and over, all the way to the last cabinet.) No wires are showing. That was the perfectionist in him.
-All the outlets were changed to have USB ports
-Installed new convection oven, induction stove-top
-Pot filler Installed (hopefully the pictures will do some justice for curious minds)
-Placed wainscoating & trim to the top section of sheet rock below ceiling & in other places in the room as well
-When my husband took out the cabinet piece that held the oven it left an overhang. We used a piece of Thermoplastic backsplash panel to cover it and used the same above the sink where the light is, making it cohesive.

I've probably left something out.....feel free to point it out or ask.
My husband got sick with cancer not quite a year after that and of course there are small details that didn't get finished before he died recently from a recurrence of cancer . That's ok........

-Home Outlet is where we got our countertops (we've used this store many times & I highly recommend them. Their prices are typically comparable or better)
-Amazon there was a few items such as the backsplash, sink & other misc by @be.hapie

Dash. was 13 y/o, its tough bc it feels a little like losing Bobby, my husband, again (9/1/24). He was Bobby's favorite. 2019 Bobby was at the hospital & all he wanted to do was get back home to Dash. Then he wanted me to send a picture to the plastic surgeon, whic.h I did.

I left town bc I knew it was time and my mom took care of him the last few days.

Huge thank you to her bc I know it wasn't easy being part of that process. I talked to him on the phone last night bc I knew once he heard my voice it wouldn't be much longer.

Today has been hard but watching your furbabies quality life decline is just as difficult.

This post is vulnerable, but I feel it’s necessary to share. Reflecting on the incredible feelings I had at my last concert—and noting that today marks two years since my husband passed away—I decided to share a piece of my life that truly connects to the song "The Time Of My Life."

I don't want anyone to feel bad for me. I just want anyone going through something similar, or any kind of tragic and depressing time, to know that you are not alone and things really do get better.
I am so thankful for the journey and adventures I've had. I’m also deeply grateful to @bensonboone @lafrantz , @jefeburns @jasonevigan and everyone involved in writing "The Time Of My Life." Music can be truly cathartic, and that healing is a beautiful thing.

Thank you to @susvasquez @brookalexander24 @_chrispotter for playing this song every night during the #wantedmantour 2026

Today, August 19th 2026, would have been 21 years since Bobby and I got married. I wasn't sure how today would be; last year I was in California & this year I was hoping to be somewhere else too. Trust me I tried to find anywhere and everywhere I could go for whatever reason to be in that particular place that was affordable. Instead I had to be home and face reality.

I am very thankful for those who sent me messages, who remembered what today was, and I am very thankful for the person who spent time with me & I didn't have to be home to think about it. Actually think that made a big difference versus what today could have been like.

When I talk to my therapist about it, because I can't seem to make my own decisions, she said someone is reaching out why would you push them away.

Therefore, I am thankful that I accepted the invitation.

Emotions are a funny thing; we think that we can control them but to an extent they actually control us. You really don't know how you're going to respond to something until you're in that moment. You can try to fight and hold it back but it's still going to be there and you're going to have to face it eventually. The more you bury it down deep the harder it is to keep pushing it down because other things just pile on top of that. Then you're like a pressure cooker that eventually is just going to blow its top and that's not healthy.

Today is another day for the books. It was memorable in a good way & its funny because when I look at the pictures from California last year I'm wearing the exact same jewelry. That might not mean much to most people but to me it seems pretty significant because those little things just signifies the pieces of love that he had for me. However, as a whole, the love he had for me was so much more.

Follow-up 2nd appointment with new neurologist
Multiple Sclerosis Clinic
Learned a lot about MS as it pertains to me.
Primary Progressive MS
Its active & will gradually worsen, however, hoping a medication will help suoress/skow down process.

Mixed Emotions bc of everything I've had to endure and add one more to the list.
☆☆I'm beyond exhausted if you can't tell☆☆

I know Jehovah will help me through along with those around me.
