Dreamer’s Maze – Borderland ’25

Dreamer’s Maze is an immersive, interactive art experience. More than 100 people were involved in its creation for the Burning Man event Borderland in Sweden.

The Maze is located in an existing three-floor abandoned Villa. Each room is designed by different artists, and the floors of the Villa are interconnected with secret passages built by the Maze crew.

I had the opportunity to curate and lead the project, which we started planning in January 2025 and managed to build within just 10 days in July 2025.

An art maze is a medium in which the distinction between the artists and the visitors dissolves. In the maze, everyone can be part of the art.

I was inspired by the art medium of Art Mazes when I first visited one called Doloris Meta Maze by the art collective Karmanoia in Tilburg, Netherlands, in 2019. @itsmedoloris @karmanoia_immersive_art

As I walked, crawled & climbed through different rooms, countless emotions surged through my veins in this out-of-this-world reality of a Maze.

Dreamer’s Maze has been a big dream come true. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share this passion with the Burner community of Borderland.

We hope that we have managed to inspire more people and spark a newfound passion for Art Mazes.

You are either boxing up your passions and suffocating them, or letting your worlds crash together and making the work shine in the collisions.

The results, messy, unpredictable, but unrepeatable and mesmerising.

Thanks for having me be part of this wonderful experience.

I’m honestly so happy that i met the most wonderful people. Community is so powerful. Creation just for the sake of creating. Sharing, for giving something back, but also for the joy sparked from the act of sharing itself. Music especially, it gives me so much joy, pain, sorrow, emotionally not understanding but feeling. and its not just about giving that joy back, but about communicating the world we share within, into a physical or non physical medium. I want to give joy, pain, sorrow, mirroring my own emotional world, to feel connected, when before I felt alienated.
So yeah… I’m grateful and here to go out and throw myself into the chaos of it all. taken in Eksjö, Sweden by @beacarolyn

I have about 550 unreleased tracks sitting in my library. this one almost stayed buried in there.
I had made it years ago and didn’t think much of it. But then I sent a few unreleased tracks to a friend for feedback recently, and he told me this one gave him goosebumps. So, I said fuck it, and prepared everything to publish it.
I made the artwork, got everything in order, came up with a name for it, because the original name was „Flügel oder Lüge Fuck it, Life is den Scheiß nicht Wert“ Should I have kept it? Or do u think that name is too bulky? I didn’t change a single thing about the song, which I had made years ago in FL Studio (not Ableton, because after 6 years of producing music I still use FL Studio) but I set it up to be published on all platforms for the 14th of October and all of that from my laptop, which is currently in Turkey with me. But this shows to me that sometimes a break is a good thing, and needed, because a breakdown isn’t a pause, it’s where the tension resets so the drop can hit twice as hard.

Dreamer's Maze 2026 ✨ Built for the second time in Sweden, this year with a much smaller team and a much more chill approach.

I built my first room completely by myself, out of pure need for it. Nothing planned, just stuff I found in front of the villa, and it turned into the comfiest, artsy half-round lounging chairs. Officially my first art installation 🥹

The Boiler Room was epic, with a full line-up every day from 6pm till 3am. And of course the slide was back 🛝

Soundtrack is my own track "Cyber Transplant", fresh out on SoundCloud 🎧

So grateful to all the artists, DJs and volunteers. None of this happens without you. What a collab 💛

La Vida is getting a little too Loca: The Grand Tour 🌍🔥 this summer we made a genuinely unhinged plan, 5 festivals, countless cities, build and/or performing at every single one. And honestly we’re lowkey grateful we didn’t end up abandoning two cars in two different countries along the way.

No house, just a tent, for the whole stretch. My car of course chose this exact summer to fail its annual check up for the first time ever. Our tent got a huge rip in the roof, we got flooded, survived a sandstorm, got invaded by ants. Car, foot, bike, e-bike, bus, plane, boat, we used every way of getting somewhere that exists.

It was exhausting. We learned, we overcame, and we’re calling it: we’re done with festivals and parties for a while 😅 Still traveling though, that part never stops.

Along the way we became cats 🐈‍⬛ and then at the very end, our maze characters, building Dreamer’s Maze 2.0 in Sweden. Full circle.

My last summer in my 20s, one for the books, and somewhere between reality and a dream, this chapter’s already closing while the next one’s calling 🐦✨ taken in Europe by @beacarolyn

Dreamer’s Maze

Part 3/3

An art maze is a medium in which the distinction between the artists and the visitors dissolves. In the maze, everyone can be part of the art.

Once you enter, you are in the reality of the Maze, until you exit back. Maze art often aims to transform the room it takes place in, so you may feel like you are within art, roaming around inside a painting or maybe in a video game.

As one goes through this Alice-In-Wonderland-like realm, the perception within the Maze can bring up strong emotions or stimulate out-of-the-box thoughts of new neural pathways. As you walk, crawl & climb through different rooms, countless emotions may surge through your veins within the out-of-this-world reality of a Maze.

Be aware, you may get lost within the Maze, or you may find yourself… but don’t you worry or be weary, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Follow the unknown path and let your curiosity flourish.
