I’ve just finished this bedroom in a beautiful listed house in central Brighton. Lovely colour combination with farrow and ball off black contrasting with the oak. Plus a nice slatted panel behind the bed for some texture. Project by @archangelsarchitects finishing by @misspandd..

A nice little bedroom set for this tight space in a cottage. Having something bespoke is the best way to maximise the useable space. Plus check out the nice live edge piece of oak for the dressing table top. Today we went to visit my friends super cool Japanese toy shop in Lewes Needlemakers @kanatani_toys I particularly like his collection of sofubi Kaiju monsters, super unique, a bit different from the usual Japanese toys (which they also have) plus some excellent new old stock 90s stuff from Osaka. Make sure you visit, worth a trip to lewes.

In a world of carefully styled and shot interiors it’s easy to forget that homes are to be lived in. It’s important to remember that a space needs to function and be a place you want to spend time. A customer sent me this lovely photo of their bedroom which shows a realistic version of how a bedroom looks when it’s being lived in and enjoyed.
