Wow! What a fantastic afternoon on 3 April at our sold-out and inaugural House of Cybele launch at @rockwaterhove What a wonderful collective of the finest UK architects, designers, craftspeople, artisans, and service providers coming together to celebrate our specialist skills, build connections, ignite inspiration, and potentially collaborate on innovative ventures.

Huge thanks go to our speakers, Jason Hayward from @guild_masterc Mary Lewis from @heritagecrafts Eman Akbar from @united_in_design and our compere Jensen Bourke. I’m thrilled to say we raised £320 for United in Design and Heritage Crafts so thank you for purchasing raffle tickets and to our supporters who generously donated prizes. And thank you to our sponsor @anderson_haysom_design

📷 We’re also delighted to share a selection of photos captured by the brilliant @nickfordphotography and a film by @28thstreetmedia will be coming soon.

If you would like to attend our next House of Cybele event at the beautiful art deco inspired and restored @saltdeanlido on Thursday 26 June at 1pm-4pm or 12pm if you would like to participate in a behind the scenes tour, then either complete the contact form on houseofcybele.co.uk or email enquiries@houseofcybele.co.uk Tickets cost £55 plus booking fee and includes lunch and welcome drink.

And that’s a wrap on 2022 … it’s been the best and worst year for us, there have been medical drama’s, hospital visits, time off due to injury or illness. Like everyone we have seen the rising living costs, rising costs of paint and materials and one of the hardest seeing our utilities raise to the same price as our rent! These are the worst things.

The best things have been hands down our customers, the pieces we have been able to work on, further mastering our skills, growing this audience on instagram, working with some amazing joinery craftsman, Kitchen manufacturers and interior designers!

Even with the downs, we have carried on having fun and working hard and at the end of the year looking back we have achieved an incredible amount! Now with the workshop taking the shape we always wanted we are ready to take a few new directions in 2023 and excited to be taking you along for the ride!

Here’s to seeing the back of 2022 and looking forward to 2023 and some very exciting collaborations and projects already set up! Have a good one everyone!

Huge thank you to everyone who braved the cold today and joined us for our community composting launch and seed swap!

We signed up just over 20 members to the scheme and still have a few caddies left so if you didn’t make it, don’t worry! We’ll be at the garden on Monday and Tuesday from 10-11:30 so pop by and we’ll fix you up with everything you need to get composting!
