💚 Happy National Boss’s Day to our very own Tammy Hetmaniak! 💚

One of the things we appreciate most about Tammy is her ability to bring people together across Greater Houston. Whether it’s our staff, volunteers, donors, or community partners, she reminds us that every person plays an important role in advancing BEAR’s mission.

We’re so grateful for the heart and dedication she brings to her work, the meaningful relationships she’s built, and the leadership she provides as we work together to make a difference for at-risk and CPS-involved children and their families.

Thank you for all you do, Tammy! We’re so lucky to have you leading the BEAR team! 🧸💚

Shout-out to the incredible team at the @montyballardymca!

Their support of the Heart Gallery of Greater Houston is helping more people learn about children who are legally available for adoption and waiting for a permanent, loving family.

We’re grateful for community partners who help raise awareness and create opportunities for these children to connect with families who can offer them a place to call home.

Thank you, Monty Ballard YMCA, for being part of this important mission! 💚🏠🧸 taken in Monty Ballard YMCA at Cinco Ranch by @bearhouston

Every child deserves a safe, comfortable place to rest. 🧸

At BEAR, we know that meeting children’s basic needs is an important part of helping them feel safe and supported.

Check out the incredible work @houstonfurniturebank is doing through its No Kids Sleep on the Floor initiative to help provide children with a bed of their own.

We’re grateful for community partners who are working to meet essential needs and support children and families throughout Greater Houston. 💚

#ReShare A BED IS MORE THAN A PLACE TO SLEEP. ❤️

For a child, consistent rest supports focus, learning, behavior, emotional well-being, and healthy development. It can make tomorrow’s school day and every day after it feel more manageable.

But an estimated 300,000 children across Greater Houston do not have a bed of their own.

Through our No Kids Sleep on the Floor initiative, The Furniture Bank works with donors, volunteers, shoppers, and community partners to provide children with something every family deserves: a safe, comfortable place to rest.

Because a bed can bring more than sleep. It can bring routine, stability, dignity, and a stronger start each morning.

Help us reach more Houston families by donating furniture, volunteering, shopping at a Furniture Bank Resale Outlet, or sharing this message.
