Brown belt!!

Today was a huge day of promotions for @sharkpitbjj!! So many promotions that meant so much to everyone. My parents both got their black belts right after I got my brown belt. I'm so grateful for all the people who showed up like my beautiful girlfriend, @addison_sargent7 and my awesome friends. @joshlichtie got no promotions which is to be expected. @dakotadeleonardis got his black belt which is freaking incredible because he is so handsome. There are too many to name but I am so grateful for all of you and congratulations to anyone I didn't mention.

I'm so grateful to do this with the people I love.

The fact that I can travel with my family and do what I love is so special to me. I got to watch my mom and lady compete this weekend which is so awesome. It was extra special to see @addison_sargent7 get back to competition after such a long time away, I'm so proud of you. You chose a hell of a competition to come back to but you did it and I'm so proud because of that.

And my mom, @rockysaurus, I'm so proud of her going out and testing herself in a tough black belt bracket and the open class after getting her black belt just over a month ago. She whooped some butt and had fun, and I'm so glad I get to do this alongside her.

Some of my other Shark Pit/Round Table teammates put that work in too, (@thebloomingjiujiteira, @mel_does_bjj, @bsoudersbjj, @j_mill1, @forchheimer72, Camacho, Ben Phillips) I hope next time around we can get even more people out to competitions like this to show how good we really are as a team.

I love @sharkpitbjj and jiu jitsu and my girlfriend and my family.

Bronze at Pans!

Definitely frustrated with this result but it is what it is. First major for IBJJF as a young, fresh brown belt and still made it to the podium. Gonna keep getting better and getting stuff done.

Tomorrow my mom (@rockysaurus) and the lady (@addison_sargent7) compete tomorrow so I get to relax and support them! by @beastboybjj

Pans hates to see me coming.

Excited to try a new ruleset at IBJJF Pans after finally moving into the adult brackets permanently. Kinda crazy that it's my first IBJJF, but let's get it done!

Second in the world.

Happy but nowhere near satisfied.

Thank you so much to the people who have supported me and helped me get to this point. I would be nothing without my family and friends at Shark Pit. I avenged a previous loss in this tournament and could've avenged another but fell short by decision, again. The result is what it is but I am proud of the work I put in to even get to this tournament. The adult divisions better watch out.

I will continue to put Shark Pit on the map.

Coach William went 1-1 today at the ADCC Youth Championship to take silver in his bracket. He finished his first match with a straight ankle lock submission and lost a very close finals match via decision after a 9-minute battle with his opponent.

We are super proud of William for both his performance today as well as all the work he put in to receive an invite to this competition.

Thank you to our team and friends who supported him and helped make this trip possible.

We're excited to see what Coach William continues to accomplish as he officially moves into the adult brackets! by @beastboybjj
