Spotlight: Transmission 6: Nourish

Nourish is the collaborative downtempo project of harpist Katie Double and bass witch Paige Julia, born from a shared love of slow melodic music on road trips, and the pressure of two musicians living in the same house.

Katie plays harp, kalimba and synths. Paige holds the groove with loops of bass and drums. Groovy, slow, original music, played live.

“We’re not sure what we’re doing, but we think it sounds good.”

Transmission 6: Artist Spotlight: Tomcosm

This mythical beast needs no introduction — chances are you’ve celebrated at least one New Year’s countdown with him.

Tom’s reshaped the algorithms behind electronic music, encouraging artists across Aotearoa and beyond to see the world in terms of frequency — building soundscapes from real-world data, conjured into mad sonic science.

These days he also builds the instruments: co-founder and Technical Director of Telepathic Instruments, leading the tech behind Orchid — a chord synthesiser named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025.
