In 2015 we were honored by the @therescuetrain with the Indy Spirit Award (pictured with Angel). The @racefortherescues event is and iconic one and not to be missed. @beaumont44 has been a @standupforpitsfoundation for over a decade and is one of the smartest and most dedicated advocates we've ever known. Reposting @standupforpitsfoundation. This sweet soul was rescued from Skid Row. He is gentle, gets along with other dogs, neutered, vaccinated and ready to rest his head in your home. Available at @ocpitbulls.

It’s been 522 days since I lost my soulmate, Valentino. 💔

This year, I’m fundraising for Race for the Rescues in his honor, and I’m asking for your help reaching my goal. Every donation helps us save animals who are still waiting for their second chance.

❤️ PLEASE DONATE HERE: bit.ly/LisaValentino4ever

THIS RACE IS FOR YOU, MY LITTLE MONKEY.

Valentino is one of the reasons I fight so hard for animals. His life didn’t start out the way any animal’s life should. He had to fight. And then we found each other, and somehow, both of our lives became magical.

He knew he would never have to live outside again. He knew he would never have to wonder where his next meal was coming from. He knew this person who dug him out of the trenches would protect him, keep him safe and love him with everything she had.

And I did.

We had something incredibly special. He wasn’t just my dog. He was my soulmate, my little monkey, and a piece of my heart.

It’s been 522 days since I held that tiny paw and had to let go. I miss him every single day. I know we’ll find each other again someday. Until then, I carry him with me.

There are so many other “Valentinos” out there right now, animals who need someone to find them, fight for them and change their story.

Valentino got his second chance. In his honor, I’m going to keep fighting to give others theirs.

If you can, please help me reach my goal. No donation is too small. Every dollar helps save lives.

❤️ DONATE HERE: bit.ly/LisaValentino4ever

For Valentino. Always. 🐾

This is a full-page ad in today’s LA Times. Well done, @peta.

Thank you for reiterating what our lawsuit is trying to accomplish and what we have been screaming about for the past three years with zero support from anyone.

Now, with all due respect, how about using your reach and resources to help fund and save the dogs suffering on Skid Row and throughout Los Angeles who are being abused on our city streets?

That seems like a fair ask.

Thanks.

The dumping continues on our streets. Who has a little space in their home for this chunky little guy?
Thank you @standupforpitsfoundation for helping this sweet soul.

How did a 1960s fringe religious group become one of the largest animal charities in America? Swipe through to read the documented history of Best Friends Animal Society and the origins of the “No-Kill” movement.
This timeline explores the organization’s roots as the Process Church of the Final Judgment, their 1980s pivot and rebrand in Utah, and their eventual integration into municipal government sheltering.
From securing a $19 million Los Angeles taxpayer-funded shelter for $1 a year (followed by a major nepotism scandal), to the controversial push for a 90% “Live Release Rate”—critics within the industry argue that the modern No-Kill model prioritizes sanitized data metrics over genuine animal welfare and public safety.
All claims are backed by historical archives, public municipal records, and investigative journalism. by @beaumont44

10 years ago Todd and who is believed to be his mom, Lucille were rescued by the @standupforpitsfoundation. Nine lives in total were removed from this house of horrors. The only two survivors - Todd & Lucille. The rest were killed. Lucille had been bred multiple times. Her little body was broken and battered. Her ears ripped and nipples hanging. They lived in what they called a "dungeon" under the house. After funding nearly 30k of medical care for Lucille, her body could not overcome the hell she had endured. Lucille died of Babesia Gibsoni - a blood disease common amongst dogfighting victims. A tragic and devastating loss of life. She never got to experience freedom but we made sure Lucille felt love.

Dogfighting is an epidemic in America. It is being done by people of all ages, ethnities and in all tax brackets. It is one of the most horrific forms of cruelty and where there is dogfighting there is always other crime. The dogs are not the dangerous ones, the humans are. These dogs have been brutally victimized and wrongly vilified for decades while the humans commiting these heinous acts of violence continue to get away with it.

Todd is the sole survivor. He is one of the lucky ones. The vast majority are not so lucky. Today we will celebrate his beautiful life by sharing all things Todd. For the past ten years Todd has shown the world the inherent goodnesss he and all like him are born with. He has inspired, educated, brought joy and light into the lives of everyone he meets and knows him without ever saying a word. He is one of one. A magical miracle and precious soul we are all so lucky to share the planet with. He loves all animals, all of humanity and could not be cuter if he tried.

Todd has cancer and now at 11 years old, is struggling with some cognitive and mobility issues. Every day and every moment with Todd is a gift. He is loved, protected, adored and cherished.

Lets all celebrate the beautiful life that is Todd on this - his gotchya day. 🖤

Thank you @beaumont44 for being such an important part of Todd's (and Lucille's) life from day one. He adores you like no other.
