I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for this group of friends. I bumped into them at the last music festival I was at back in October. I haven’t seen them since high school, and it’s interesting to see how the world knows when you need a group like this back into your life. This year I cannot wait to strengthen myself, mentally, and physically. I owe a lot to the past years of sculpting me into who I am today. Oni mask is a popular cultural icon with many different interpretations. The oni mask is said to have originated from the oni, or demons of Japanese mythology. Oni are said to be fierce and powerful creatures that can cause destruction and chaos. The oni mask is meant to scare away these evil spirits and protect people from their harmful influence. Another popular theory is that the Oni mask represents the dark and dangerous aspects of human nature. I’m not one for long emotional posts, but honestly I’m sad to see this year to an end. This year was one of the best years of my life. I learned so much about myself in so many ways. Like what I’m capable of and what I’m not. Who I choose to surround myself with, and that’s with those that truly care about me. I stepped out of my comfort zone a lot and I’m glad I did. I threw my first backflip off the third platform, I explored a cavern inside a cave I was for so long afraid of. I went on trips I only dreamed about, discovering the beauty of Banff, Yoho, Jasper, and Kootenay National parks. Driving along the Oregon coast, finding more hidden gems in my own state. I went climbing more pushing my limits. I tried new stuff like mountain biking and fell in love with it. I even completed my first triathlon which I never thought I could accomplish. I made new friends. I was presented with new opportunities that could potentially change my life. I finished my firefighting training and working for Uintah city. I could go on and on about how much this year changed me and reminded me to be myself and never be comfortable because once you’re comfortable you stop learning. 2020 I’m ready for you and I’m excited to start being me! by @beauses_
