We are just about a week away from Logan's 6th birthday!! Typically we have a very fun fall event, but due to personal reasons we sadly had to forego that this year.

Because of Logan.... with her birthday right around the corner we wanted to hear from you. How has Logan touched your life? How has she made a difference to you? We would love it if you left a comment or sent us a message on how she has changed your life. I'll go first....

Logan showed us what real faith is, what is means to love with your whole heart, she has shown us the power of community, the beauty of humanity, she has brought far communities close and close communities closer. She has taught us to be better parents, friends, and family members. She has brought so much healing to our hearts in unexpected ways. She made us appreciate every singe day, every single mess, every single laugh, every single hug and every single sunrise and sunset. She has brought real beauty into the every day life and yes, she has helped over 220 kids learn to self rescue and has taught parents the importance of water safety and survival swim skills.

Logan's life might have been too short, but she has accomplished more than I ever could.

Thank you for loving Logan so much and for helping us spread her love far beyond our imaginations and celebrate her big day 💜 by @because_of_logan

Survival swim lessons aren’t just for life saving abilities… they are for FUN too! Check out our Hawaii swimmer using the skills he’s learning to maximize his fun in the pool!! When you choose survival swim lessons over “traditional” lessons you are not only ensuring your child will have the skills and tools to properly navigate their own body weight in the water with out flotation devises in just 6 weeks, you are giving them a solid foundation to start more advanced skills at an age appropriate time!! The phrase "it takes a village" applies to so many different aspects of life. It absolutely applies to parenting and raising kids but it also applies to protecting them as well, and drowning is a huge issue effecting our children. After all, drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death in children under 4... we NEED the village.

I am incredibly thankful for the village we have in the drowning prevention world. From survival swim instructors, pool fence companies, pool fence installers, people championing for survival swim lessons, to the brave families of fatal and non-fatal drowning victims who share their stories in hopes that it can save children from suffering the same fate, to the people who so graciously support organizations like ours through donations, sharing of posts, even positive messages it all helps build and maintain the village... we all have one mission in mind, to END childhood drowning, so educate parents on the importance of survival swim lessons and how crucial layers of protection are in saving our little ones lives.

This summer there was a local drowning. It broke my heart to hear another family had their whole world turned upside down and to know the exact steps, heartache and pain they have before them. Parents who love their children deeply, who would do anything to protect them. I wish things were different but I know God is good. That is the hope that keeps us me going.

After hearing about the accident, I called on the village and they were right there to help in anyway they could. I want to give a special thank you to @ericlupton at @lifesaverpoolfence who donated a pool fence and to Jake J&S Fencing for installing the fence at no cost. Thank you for being valuable members of the community and stepping up to assist a beautiful family in need of the village.

I truly thank everyone that is part of the swim safety awareness/drowning prevention community. No part is too small and together we are making an impact against drowning. A child is that much safer because of you. Thank you 💜 by @because_of_logan

We are out here at the 2024 Cenovus safety fair promoting water safety!! Logan’s dad will be in the dunk tank at 11:30!

How are we already in AUGUST??

I wanted to share a few updates with you guys! I know it has been a little bit since I last shared but this year during the summer months I really wanted to soak in as much time as I could with my own children and its been such a great summer for our family! I hope that you have been able to enjoy your summer too! Don't you feel like once the 4th of July hits summer kind of starts to wind down? I don't know about you but Im not ready!! We did take a little pause on our scholarship program back in May due to some personal reasons but we look forward to being able to serve families all across the US in the near future! From January to May we did approve 90 survival swim scholarships and added one more pediatricians office and one dentist office to the list of offices passing out our informational flyers! We attended a few safety fairs and had our 3rd annual BOL golf outing! Thank you for your continued support of BOL but most of all thank you all for loving Logan as much as you do.

There are some super big fun plans that we have for BOL and excited to share them once we figure out all the details! Our golf outing was so fun and super successful! Thank you to everyone who was involved! We raised $13,900!!! We are so so very thankful to be able to further our mission because of your generosity!! Thank you again SO MUCH!

As summer winds down and we look to 2025, we are incredibly excited for what lies ahead and deeply grateful for your support of our mission. Thank you for joining us on this journey and witnessing the beauty that has risen from our ashes, all by the grace of God. We will be praying for direction on the best way we can impact communities near and far on drowning prevention and swim safety awareness and we are blessed to be able to serve the best families and be surrounded by the best supporters! The most special thing we get to do is honor children who lost their lives to childhood drowning on our 18th hole. God bless all of these families and the many many families who have endured this tragedy. We pray for these families often ❤️‍🩹 by @because_of_logan
