Third and blessed 🥉💋

Honoured to line up alongside and against some of the best flag football players in Australia and New Zealand at the inaugural Flag Football Australia Draft 🏈

So proud of our girls who absolutely balled out, taking home 3rd place as the youngest team in the tournament! And a massive shoutout to @xocourtneyleighxo and @lmprice1995 who brought this team and competition to life! 💖

The future of flag football is looking incredibly bright ✨️

Three things I’m taking away from this tournament:

1. Leadership. Captaining a team of mostly new players, many of whom were new to the sport and to competitive football, was a challenge I’m incredibly grateful for. Watching everyone grow, compete and back each other was pretty special ✨️

2. Perspective. Getting to play against some of the best players in Australia and around the world is a privilege I don’t take for granted. Every game, every matchup and every mistake is an opportunity to learn and get better 🫱🏿‍🫲🏾

3. The people. Its the friendships and connections you make along the way that mean the most. This sport brings people together, and makes you want to keep coming back 🫰🏾

Grateful for this sport, the lessons, and the people who make me want to work harder. Onto the next one with @grit.ap @flagfootballaus @capturetheflag_aus 🏈 by @beccaherft

A shout out from @beccaherft for you to get involved with Flag Football! 💯

A Victorian flag football player, Rebecca also plays with an @urbanrecmelbourne flag football team. Everyone is welcome! Reach out and head down next Wednesday!

Flag football is a fast-paced, non-contact version of American football (NFL) where defenders stop the ball carrier by pulling a flag off their belt instead of tackling them to the ground.

It was great to welcome Rebecca to Game On as a guest last night to hear why she loves this high energy sport. And about being proposed to by her girlfriend after a match! Listen to the full interview. You'll also hear from @coach.joshfaure about how to become an Olympian! Link in bio. 🎉 by @beccaherft
