✨ Meet Me! ✨

Hey!! I updated this last year so why not make this an annual thing! (Even if I am a couple months late!)

So I’m Becca, I’m 27 (28 in March), I’m from the UK! I’m a new mum to Arthur and a fiancée to Billy, and it’ll be 10 years this year we’ve been together!

I started this page in Feb 2024 and I can’t believe how many wonderful people I have had the change to meet 🫶🏻

My go to genres are romance, romantasy and dark romance, and this year I really wanted to get back into some flow of reading like I was in last year but having a baby makes it so hard to get reading time in because I either have a baby on me, and if not my brain is so full it struggles to read but we’ll get there!

I’m a tattooist too, and I’m excited to be in full swing again! I go travelling with this too which is so fun (mainly because I can try different food places!)

My 2026 is hopefully going to be the year of getting back into the groove of life, finding me and continuing to learn how to balance mum life and everything else!

⭐️ Updated ratings including my spice ratings! 🌶️

I wanted to make it align more to my current booksta vibe so here’s a new pic with my general ratings and now spice ratings!!

For stars I always rate by vibes, if it hits me and sticks with me and I am obsessed it will always be high stars 😍

For spice it is all based on how I feel it is, it may not be the same as everyone’s rating as we all see spice at different levels depending in what we read but yeah! I hope this helps 🧡 by @beccas_libraryx

🍁TBR🍁

Last years TBR has become this years! I was a bit busy being heavily pregnant and then birthing a human in autumn last year, so this year I’m going to try and read the cosy ones I never got to, or started and never finished! These two are my main ones for this month, then next month I wanna do some spooky ones ! 👻

I have read a whole page of People Watching - @authorhannahby (not because I wasn’t feeling it, but I had to do mum things and then it was bedtime 😂) and last year read around 30% of Rewitched - @lucyjanewood (I was actually reading this while I was in labour between contractions!!) so ready to hopefully read both this month if I can! And if not, that’s okay too, cosy/spooky can be year round anyway 💁🏻‍♀️🫶🏻

A new era?? 🎀

Hi friendos! How is everyone?!

I’m still in the throes of motherhood, but slowly figuring out a balance now Arthur is starting at a childminders/nursery, and I can have a bit more me time!

I’ve read a whole 5 books so far, have a buddy read lined up for next month with the gals and going to revisit last years autumn TBR that I never got round to with later pregnancy and then having a newborn 💖

I’m very excited for cosy months, no more crazy heat and figuring out the balance between mum life, my life, working and hobbies 🫶🏻

Now, I saw @poporeadss do a post about combining booksta insta and general life together, and I’m kinda vibing with that idea ✨I currently have 3 instas (a work one, a personal one and this one) and it can be so hard to keep up with everything 😅

💝 Birthday Stack 💝

This is so late because I’m awful at booksta these days but I am SO so grateful to the lovely gals who wished me happy birthday in March, and to these fabulous gals who sent me bookmail 🥹 I am slowly getting back into reading and these helped prompt me to pick up books and my kindle 💕

@hollyscosybooknook completely my Playing for Keeps physical collection with Consider Me 😍 a reminder, this is my all time fave series!!!

@jilreads_ went nuts and gifted me 4 books!!! I got Blood & Roses, Gingerbread Bakery, Mate and Bad Bishop! I love the varying vibes to help get me out this almighty slump 🫶🏻

@thatmamabooknook got me Metal Slinger, which has been on my TBR for yonks, and I’m so grateful to have it to get into it! ❤️

@bookscrystalsandcake (remember to refollow her new account after her old one got wrongfully suspended!) got me Kiss of the Basilisk which I’ve heard so many good things about but also know nothing about ❤️

My auntie got me the Bridgerton hardcover edition which is just so pretty!!

And with a voucher I got myself Game On which I’m gradually working through ❤️

Don’t know what I did to have so many thoughtful friends on this app! 💕

📚 Local Bookshops 🌿

I popped into @thebeverleybookshop and I was very impressed with what they had! So many new titles, popular releases and loads I’ve not heard of. It was a lovely little shop with an upstairs but as I had Arthur in the pram I couldn’t have a look at what was upstairs but there was a lot to look at downstairs 😍

I did get The Famous Gilbert’s by Angela Tomaski which sounds interesting and I loved the sprayed edge, cover art and that it’s a signed edition for an independent bookshop too which there were a lot of signed editions and independent bookshop editions!

If you’re in Beverley definitely pop in and have a nosy! 😍 remember to support local! 🫶🏻

🌸 Goodbye March 🫶🏻

March is always a busy week for my family, we have 4 birthdays in a week including my own, and we have had a baby born into the family too! That along with my first Mother’s Day which was a trip to the aquarium too, and then lots of mum dates with friends, a trip to my family’s house for birthdays and lots of driving around it’s been a manic months!

And I STILL haven’t finished a book 😂 but that’s okay!

💕Pink Wednesday💕

I adore @__paigeable ‘s pink Wednesday posts (and Paige herself obvs 💖) and I love pink, got a pink book early for my birthday (which is today heck!) and had some pink mothers days flowers so it felt like it was meant to be to do a post!!

I really want to collect these editions of the Bridgerton books now! They’re all so stunning 😍

I’ve had some more stunning bookmail for my birthday which I can’t wait to read and show you! I hope that this will reignite my reading again, I’ve missed it so much but also don’t have the brain space to do much right now 😭

☕️ Coffee Dates and a New Book ☕️

Ooooops! I fell into the £3 book stand at my local farm shop and then as I steadied myself a book flew off the stand, into my basket and through the till! How crazy!!

I hadn’t heard of Soul Hate before and reading the blurb I realised it sounded like a bit of me and for £3 I couldn’t say no😍

🌼 Minimalist Monday 🌼

Absolutely nabbing @bookscrystalsandcakes ‘s ideas of minimalist Monday 💁🏻‍♀️ whether I keep it up is another story 😂 might try using it as a check in ❤️

📚 Reading:

I’m slowly getting through Soul Searching and I’m really enjoying taking reading slow, which is good because I don’t really have a choice with me looking after Arthur 🫶🏻

☕️ Drinking:

I’ve finally found a liking to hot coffee but will always be an iced coffee girly 💁🏻‍♀️ mainly drinking hot and iced caramel lattes

💖 What I’m loving:

The weather is so much nicer and having daffodils in my house makes me so happy! Also selling some bits in vinted to earn a little bit of money while I’m on maternity leave ❤️ also pretending I’m an influencer and taking ‘aesthetic’ pics for life to try hold myself accountable to doing more and also appreciating the smaller things like a yummy meal, a little walk or a bunch of flowers 🌸

⏰ For this week:

We are going to baby sensory and meeting a friend this week which will be so lovely, and I really wanna make sure I’m still getting out the house too as it seems to be good for both me and Arthur 🫶🏻
