a court of splintered harmony🩷🦇⭐️

happy release day to this gorgeous book!! i cannot wait to be back in this world with these characters (hoping to dive right in today). i know this series means so much to so many & to see people come together because of that is such a beautiful thing to witness. i hope everyone has the best reading journey coming home to velaris🥹

escape me review🩵🍩🌸⚡️

5★

❕️spoiler on last slide❕️

as always with this series, i devoured this book in almost one sitting. something about this writing & these characters make it so easy to get lost in this world. i never want to leave - it feels like a part of me is still in there hoping to figure out how all of the pieces fit together.

i fear james & rosabelle will be the end of me. him calling her "baby" and doing everything he can to protect her and take care of her - i can't with him. he is so much like warner its scary (but in all the best ways). james is so gentle, yet so possessive of rosabelle that i'm utterly obsessed with them. james is the reason that this book got 5 stars. him & the way he cares about rosabelle.

could this book have had a little more plot? yes. did the last 100 pages make up for that with james & rosabelle content? yes, absolutely they did. we even got some very special warner & juliette scenes that melted my heart in the best way (thinking i might need a shatter me reread soon because the callbacks to that series make my heart ache so much).

but the biggest question here is...

WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?! i cannot believe the last 100 pages. it's like getting whiplash. @tahereh can we get some answers as to what's going on here??

also, these covers are the prettiest things ever. so stunning. entranced every time✨️

welcome back to basgiath

this was the perfect taste of this world as we wait (im)patiently for news about book four. i loved seeing all the different perspectives and how everyone found a home in their dragons. these povs definitely give some more clues and insight into some of the questions everyone's been posing. i'm excited to see how it all connects!! some of my favorite povs are on the last few slides! sloane's was so heartbreaking, but i understand her so much better now. i think the artwork of this edition deserves one million stars on its own. i LOVEEEE that we get color images of the dragons of the Emperyan. it makes the world come to life even more. and i FINALLY bonded my dragon!! (it only took 12 tries) i can definitely relate to sawyer now (i choose to believe that gale was just waiting for me the whole time). happy threshing to everyone who has or is still trying to bond a dragon!!

these were not on my 2026 bingo card but i am over the moon that we get to visit these worlds again!! i'm obsessed with these covers and the artwork of these editions. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING 🥹 i fear i will be talking about these two books only for the foreseeable future (prepare to be sick of me)

tempest review💙🏴‍☠️🌊🗡

an epic pirate fantasy that definitely gave pirates of the caribbean vibes. miss victoria aveyard certainly knows how to keep bits of information hidden from us until the last possible second. the dual timeline was an interesting choice for this narrative, and while i enjoyed it for most of the book, it made some of the first half a little slower paced. however, once cat started having more interactions with the pirates things picked up more! and valerian, oh, i loved him!! i wanted to see more of him and was a little sad that we didn't get that much in this book. there was so much tension & chemistry between cat & val, and i can't wait to see where that leads them. i just know the plot twists will get even crazier! i would recommend this to anyone looking for a (very) slow burn pirate fantasy.
