I had the opportunity to draw a portrait of the creative and hilarious @aves.robins! She gave me a lot of creative leeway, which was fantastic. I drew my inspiration from her goth cabaret look and also wanted to use this portrait to show how I see her - knowledgeable, magical, and cheeky.

If you want a chance to see her live she is performing her show Spite and other Delights at @undergroundcomedyvenue for @melbcomedyfestival until Sunday! It’s a phenomenal show and we’re lucky to have her visiting Naarm this year 😊

I had so much fun drawing this pet portrait commission for @aves.robins and @itsjezzus.

We tried a few ideas but eventually settled on an imitation of the iconic Théophile Steinlen ‘Le Chat Noir’ poster.

Thank you so much for trusting me with portraying your adorable kitty!

My journey from concept to completion for @aves.robins Absurd Strange Cabaret Fringe show. Months of brainstorming, sewing, choreographing and prop making - it’s all over! But I had a blast…and who’s to say if Moth might one day return?

I was honoured to draw this portrait for the stunning @miselocin_poles. The original image is a portrait of @miselocin_poles from a @polekadot shoot, photographed by @ninaotrantophotography.

The brief was a stylised super colourful version of Nina’s portrait. It was a little intimidating reimagine an image that was already so gorgeous but I hope my prismatic homage has done both Nina and @miselocin_poles justice 🫣

I thoroughly enjoyed pushing the stylisation and refinement beyond what I would for a personal sketch, and it was such a delight to combine pole and illustration, my two favourite things.

In exciting news I am open for commissions 😊 I have experience with illustrating (mostly maps, portraits), and graphic design (I don’t feature that here, if you’d like more info let me know!). I enjoy drawing and design and am need of a little extra cash at the moment to cover medical bills, so any support you can offer is appreciated. by @beck_is_making

I must have been going through a Steven Universe phase when doing this character design. From memory I was using bubblegum 🫧 as a prompt.
The background sketch was for an evil lair/laboratory Frankenstein style.

Found a sketch while digging through the archives. I remember feeling this one wasn’t good enough to post anywhere, but I now rather like it.

Why is it so interesting re-watching the drawing process? It’s not as if I don’t know how it’s going to end. Regardless, I really like this #procreateart feature.

Had a great time getting back into drawing making some #dndmap for @hugheth_ and Harry’s DnD birthday party ⚔️

As usual all I can see are the details I didn’t get around to adding, but overall I’m quite happy with what was achieved in the time I had. What a fun opportunity 😊 by @beck_is_making
