Oh boy am I stoked about this one! Not sure if I have a post explaining this Beer is the Mind-Killer doodle but it’s a Dune reference (like my IG handle). This is the Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother holding up two mugs of Czech lager reciting the Litany Against Beer (I actually love beer but am drinking much less of it these days). In the book it’s actually the Litany Against Fear. Not beer. Puns 🤭🤭

The shirt itself was printed with help from the fine folks @oddities_prints. It features a puff ink (🤌) screen print with a sunset fade (peach and pink hues). Each shirt has its own unique swirliness in the graphic. Printed on Comfort Colors pigment dyed “denim” color which complements the puff ink for an instantly vintage feel. The front pocket is big enough for mini Rocky storage.

I thought I might be posting this in the glow of a Blue Jays World Series championship. But alas, what could be more fitting than a Fitz-related post made in the shadow of some good ol emotional trauma and suffering? 😔

With a heavy heart, I present to you a Risograph print of my doodle honoring Fitz, Nighteyes, and the whole RotE kitchen sink. Same as last time, the Riso wizards over at @oddities_prints helped me out with the printing! I tried some new things with layering colors and adjusting transparencies and it all came out really nicely! This is a 8x10” print using blue, green, and gold ink.

Similar to the Jays season, I’m sad the RotE series has come to an end for me, but I’m soooo happy to have experienced it. What a ride! 🥹 Definitely looking forward to a reread in the future. 🐺

I made some patches! Well, I didn’t make make them- I was lucky enough to find Hao at @ginkgo.embroidery here in town to help me bring these to life. He not only runs his embroidery business but also leads the KC chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals nonprofit @naaapkc. They have a storefront in Westport called Silk Road where local businesses and makers sell their work. It’s awesome and you should check it out if you’re local! My daughter picked up a couple things on our last visits there.

There are two patch versions of my YWNBM design- a big iron-on (12x6”) and a small hook and loop (5x2.5”).

I must apologize to @kuliashawrites because it took me a long ass time to finally read THE MIDNIGHT PACK (the sequel just came out!). She is one of the kindest authors (and people in general) on bookstagram! I could definitely see the Dresden influence in this one, maybe with a lil sprinkle of romance. Now im wondering if book 2, Big Foot Confidential is a punny reference to an AI foot fetish given her like of DCC 🤔🤣🤣 Well for this doodle you can prob tell I took some inspo from The Midnight-the music people 🤭 🐺🐺 by @beeristhemindkiller

Creeper Reaper for spooky szn!
