This photo of a wrecked vehicle was so worth the bramble bush gauntlet I had to drag myself and bike through to capture it.

I thought after five years of using the Fuji X100V for photos I should probably try out some video work. Here are some clips from a couple of recent hikes that I’ve captured.

Ignorance is bliss but it’s also a choice.
One of the most frustrating parts about having an understanding of what’s happening to the world and what’s going to happen in the future is witnessing so many people, including people you love and respect, choose to remain in a perpetual state of ignorance while simultaneously choosing to ignore the immediate impact of their choices.
Of course everybody is entitled to their own opinions, but when it is something that is grounded in facts supported by data, you simply cannot have an opinion on it.
It’s scary to face the reality of what the human race has done and what it is now causing all around the globe. But fear is often the only thing that can create real change. I urge you to follow pages like @climate.apocalypse who share real, unfiltered posts about the current state of our planet. You need to see these things because if this crisis hasn’t affected you already, it will. If you can’t do it for yourself, do it for your family, your friends, your kids or if you want kids in the future, do it for them because if you don’t start now there will not be a planet for them to live on.

Some clips from the 12th century church in Silchester, that was built on top of three old roman temples, mixed in with some other captures of the surrounding woodlands.
