✨ A very special achievement for my student Anna Sun, aged just 12, has won 2nd Prize as well as special prize at the International Alphonse Hasselmans Harp Competition 2026, in her very first international competition.

I’ve watched Anna grow from day one, and it’s been so lovely to see her confidence and musicality develop. I’m incredibly proud of her and all the hard work she has put in to get to this point.

I was also very touched to receive the Outstanding Teacher Award. It’s a real honour and something I’m very grateful for.

Well done, Anna — I’m so proud of you! 🤍🌟 by @behind_the_harp

May was a whirlwind, but one of the highlights was getting to explore a new piece of repertoire—Vivaldi's Concerto in D — and perform it with the wonderful Le Page Ensemble in Putney.

Always nice to spend time with new repertoire and to perform it with such amazing AND lovely group of musicians.

📸 A post-concert smile with the ensemble.

"Here. Comes. The. Harp!”

That’s always what I hear in my head at the opening of Britten’s harp cadenza from The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra…

Wonderful concert yesterday for young audiences with the @english_symphony_orchestra and @zebsoanes @classicfm for the Elgar Festival at Worcester Cathedral — an amazing space to play in.

Also, for fellow harp people: I’m convinced the fugue in bar6 feels better with a D♯ instead of an E♭. Same pitch. Different emotions...🤓

Back in Cheltenham today with the ESO: https://eso.co.uk/eso-cheltenham-residency/

It’s not often the harp gets singled out in this kind of repertoire — especially in what is, in the end, quite a fleeting moment so it was especially nice to be mentioned in our latest review. https://arcana.fm/2026/02/02/beyers-eso-woods-sawyers/

Very grateful to be making music with such wonderful colleagues, and to @kennethwoodsmusician for bringing it all together.
