May was a whirlwind, but one of the highlights was getting to explore a new piece of repertoire—Vivaldi's Concerto in D — and perform it with the wonderful Le Page Ensemble in Putney.

Always nice to spend time with new repertoire and to perform it with such amazing AND lovely group of musicians.

📸 A post-concert smile with the ensemble.
🎶 Swipe left to hear a snippet of the first movement!

🎶 Inclusive Music Sessions at Sense TouchBase Pears

We’ve been running a series of weekly sessions for adults with complex needs at Sense TouchBase Pears in Selly Oak.

The sessions offer a fun and inclusive exploration of classical music (we’ve also brought along electric bass 🎸) in a sensory-friendly environment.

Supporters, carers and families are all welcome to attend and join in the fun.

Here’s a little taster of what you can expect in a session.

It was such a privilege to be apart of last weeks masterclass with Sioned Williams.

A huge thank you to Sioned who gave a lecture on the introduction story of John Parry, adjudicated the Reniè Prize Competition and listened to me play.

A massive well done to Chloe, Holli and Molly who competed in the competition!

A truly wonderful day filled with lots of harping!

🌟 Festive Celebrations 🎄

✨ We hosted a very festive Community Café today at Sense TouchBase Pears in Selly Oak, aimed at disabled adults and children with complex needs.

✨ We sang, danced and played along with our wonderful Swan players Diane (flute) and Rita (harp), who kept us all entertained. Mince Pies and cake for afters!

✨ It’s our last one of the year but we’ll be returning after a short break in the Spring - thank you for having us @sensecharity.

So grateful to share the stage with brilliant fellow harpist @behind_the_harp last week at the Elgar Festival. Playing great music is always a joy – but doing it with such kind and talented company makes it even more enjoyable!
